From the moment we walked in the service was great. Immediately greeted by the bartender, whom we decided to sit with from that interaction alone. Cocktails were not only eye catching but wonderfully made & delicious. We went with the burger of the day & the Amaontillado. They were cooked perfectly, the ingredients were fresh, fries were amazing, 10/10 for burgers & service. We will be back soon!

Stopped here on a whim after SCAD graduation, it wasn’t crowded and smelled delicious, sat at the open air huge bar in the middle. Loved that the whole side of the restaurant was open to the outside. We ordered the fish tacos with a side of blue cheese bacon slaw Holy Moley delicious! And a jalapeño Margarita, that was perfectly balanced. I definitely recommend this place! Check out the restaurant and bathroom for cool Edgar Allan Poe decor

Had 45 minutes to wait for our room at the Best Western to be ready and the front desk person suggested Poes for lunch because it’s right behind it. Great service, friendly atmosphere, delicious food and reasonable prices.

For what ever reason making a reservation in Savannah for a large group (20-30) is like pulling teeth. We called Poe’s Tavern and they got us right in with no problem. It was such a relief to find a place that was so willing to take a large group. The manager even came out to introduce herself and help serve food. With so many people they gave us a bunch of free apps because we had so many people. They were even willing to split everyone’s checks. Truly a breath of fresh air during our week long visit to Savannah and trying to coordinate large reservations. The food was great, our server was awesome, highly recommend Poe’s Tavern. Thank you Poe’s!!!

Great staff, great fish tacos, but more importantly the namesake. If you are a Poe fan like I am, you will not be disappointed. The bathroom is literally covered in pages of his work.

A pub based on Edgar Allen Poe … sounds cool right!? Unfortunately this is just a burger place with pics of Poe on the wall. They have a good selection of beer, but burgers is ALL they have. The burger was good, but not worth $19. #overpriced

Loved the Edgar Allen Poe theme…especially his pages to read on the bathroom walls! Food was very good, prices high but quality was excellent. Service was pretty good, too. Reservations are recommended, even since it’s casual.

Poe’s Tavern really has Drew and I split on what we loved and what we didn’t. To begin, our waitress was very kind and seemed to think one step ahead of us in the best way possible. The design of the restaurant is beautiful and I loved all the sophisticated, literature signaling, and warm feeling the place gives. I thought the TVs/Sports bar elements were conflicting with the theme and were confusing. Drew, however, disagreed and said he didn’t mind that aspect.

This is a must if your are in town. I went with a Party of 8 and all of us had incredible meals. Great choice of beers, and the best part was that the burgers selection was available in Beef, Chicken or vegetarian. Something for everyone. We sat on the patio and even through it was hot outside it was very pleasant on the patio. Highly recommend and will visit the next time we are in Town
