We just moved here to Pecos and ate here one other time when visiting several months ago. The food is absolutely delicious, we got the loaded baked potatoes to reheat for dinner later as they are only open until 2. It smells heavenly, can’t wait to dig in this evening! Oh, and they are huge!

Really good BBQ and very large portions for the price. Come early as they run out of food as the day goes on. If you like good BBQ this is a great place.

The food came out quick. The portions were very generous (can believe that potato is the “regular size” and not the XL?!)

Stopped here for lunch on our way between Carlsbad Caverns and Big Bend. This was hands-down the best brisket we’ve ever eaten in our LIVES. I’m going to be dreaming about more of that for a long time. Curly fries were really good too.

I’m from OKC and was in Pecos for business, the talk around town was “you have to eat at Pody’s”. This is the best BBQ that I have ever had… no lie!

It was pretty good, not great. It was rather expensive. For the 3 meat plate, it was $18. I was a bit disappointed that they only gave me 1 rib as one of the meats. I think that it should’ve been at least 2 bones. They gave me a good amount of brisket, but about 20% of it was fat and I threw it out. Otherwise, it’s a decent place. I think Dicky’s is a little bit better. IMO.

Super cute place. Wait wasn’t too long but I have heard it takes a while. Pody’s is a must-visit here in Pecos and is known for the line wrapping around outside. I got the Pecos XL Spud (pictured below) and it was good. Didn’t wow me like I initially expected but it was pretty good. I couldn’t eat the whole thing. Comes with a side of jalapeños and bbq sauce that I drizzled on. Didn’t care for the onions.

Amazing place!!! Brisket was so tender no need for a knife. They gave me a sample of the catfish – oh my – so yummy – and I don’t even like catfish. And don’t forget the green chile hominy side – a unique offering. And no meal would be complete without the banana pudding which was NOT on the menu but is a must try.
