First visit to Plum House, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! I was skeptical before going, thinking this was more of a Sushi spot, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a wide assortment of other offerings that include Hibachi style items such as steak, chicken, and shrimp, which is really what we all were looking forward to.

Someone please hide the salt shaker from the chef! The appetizers were great. We had tempura shrimp and gyoza. Wish we had left at that point. The hibachi dinners are cooked in the kitchen then brought to the table. The dinners were awful. The only seasoning was salt and soy sauce. The steak was tough to the point of inedible. The soup was fishy. Dinners were a complete waste of money. We won’t be going back there for dinner.

I normally don’t post reviews, but feel like emphasizing my thoughts about Plum House. To start off—the food at this place is not terrible by any means. The service, however, is kinda lousy and could be better. It’s hard to explain, but the owners seem to be careless about certain things with the atmosphere unlike other Japanese/Sushi restaurants I’ve been to. I’ve only been here twice in the past 2 years and nothing’s been improved since my last visit at the beginning of this month (April) and one time back in September 2021. The last 2 times I came to eat on a Saturday evening has always been dead with few customers besides me and my dad—it should be busier on the weekends but wasn’t. I will not be coming back (unless if things improve). That said, we’ll be taking our business somewhere else.
