Customer service is questionable here. We where seated just fine. It took 10 minutes and telling our drink order to 3 waiters to get our drinks. The waiters did not communicate about tables but preferred to chat in at the check out hut. There was no drink menu available. Drink prices where very pricey even for pop. The menu was mainly in Spanish but the waiter who took our order didn’t know Spanish and we had to point out what we wanted so he could spell it out and then a second waiter came out to take our order he spoke Spanish so he knew exactly what we wanted. By the time our menus had been taken my drink was gone. I waited for 10 minutes before asking a waiter for a new drink. After another 10 minutes a different waiter came by and asked if I wanted anything else to drink. He then brought the drink out within minutes. SAVING GRACE the food is absolutely delicious steak, chicken, shrimp, cacti, cheese, onions & mushrooms, & jalapeños. Perfectly cooked along with the BEST homemade refried beans I’ve ever had. The rice was perfectly cooked and incorporated veggies. I’ve never seen it prepared that way but it was delicious. We asked for to go boxes. We tried to order dessert and the waiter didn’t know what sopapillas where. He asked if it was a real food…. we then order fried ice cream. We waited 10 minutes and it still hadn’t arrived. The waiter who understood Spanish came back and asked if he could take our tray we mentioned we where waiting for a to go box which he brought immediately after we told him we’d been waiting for. We then told this waiter we had ordered fried ice cream 15 minutes prior. He went up to the waiter who seated us and asked if he had put in our dessert order and the other waiter said he forgot to put our order in. It then took another 10 minutes to get our dessert. The ice cream had a beautiful presentation but it was not fried and it had 2 inches of whipped cream on top.

Dont let the modest exterior of the restaurant fool you. This place has some great food. Service was pretty good too. Being from out of town i just wanted some good steak tacos and they delivered. If im back in the area ill come again.

It’s not bad. It depends on the day for how good the service is. Actually walked out once because no one would take our order. The food is ok, not the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Serving sizes are good.

The food is good be prepared to wait an extensively long period of time but before you get service or their follow-up visit to your table. We have given up on the place due to their service five people standing around when there’s only six tables and they still can’t get their service squared away

Service is a little slow and scattered, one person taking drinking orders, one person doing food orders, someone new taking drink re-orders. Staff has very broken english, making a bit hard to properly communicate your order. The food was good, but not outstanding enoughing to trump other Mexican restaurants I have tried, and really did not give me the want to return right away. They have potential, maybe in time, they are fairly new and may need time to find their groove.

Delicious food, Mexican and Domestic beers on tap, music, Tequila rail, this place is great! I’m going to be back very soon! It’s exactly what Montevideo needs, everyone in town should stop by and enjoy the delicious food!
