I’ve ordered from here twice. The food is bland. They didn’t put any napkins or utensils. I’ve order Flautas no sauce. If it has a lot of stars is because the clientele is not Hispanic. They don’t know about true Mexican or Latin food. I will never order from here again.

Went here and place was empty, so we figured service would be faster. Ordered the guacamole to start, which said that had jalapeños and eventhough it was good there were no jalapeños. Also ordered the tacos al pastor, which were very over cooked, tough and bland. My hubs ordered the shrimp enchiladas whish were okay, bit bland again. It’s a shame because we are close and was looking forward to a nice mexican restaurant close by. Service was very slow.

We just had a delicious dinner there. I had the fajitas of shrimp and chicken. The shrimp were about 5 inches or more tall. We had guacamole and it was absolutely delicious. Plus the service was wonderful. Definitely a fantastic place and will definitely be back again for many more delicious dinners. The service was also great and very very friendly atmosphere. Thanks! And the salsa was very fresh with diced ingredients.

This place is super over priced and generally flavorless. I got enchiladas and they arrived as if they had been sitting in the fridge over night. Cold. Which. How it arrived so fast. And the verde was like water. So I ate cold soggy enchiladas and were barely edible. And that’s all that came. No beans and rice with the dinner. My fiancé got fajitas and they don’t come with the stuff you put on the fajitas and the tortillas that come with are so small it’s a joke. We ordered chips and salsa and the portion is so small for 8 bucks. Enough chips for one person. Also just the lack of flavor. No fat. No salt. No spice. Nothing. I don’t mind spending $$$ on great Mexican but I’m out 80 bucks and it feels like half the food didn’t arrive and they apparently left the flavor at the restaurant as well.

Honestly i never really complain about restaurants even bad ones but I had to say something this time. Plaza Tikal absolutely sucks. They think that they are by the Bernardsville Inn they can charge like them for some sub standard Mexican food.are so overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food there. I can’t even understand the positive reviews for this place. The Steak that was usually offered was a Skirts steak thats now some cheap dry meat. The portions are like what comes in a TV dinner. Food has zero flavor and not authentic by any means. Please avoid this place.

We went there on quiet Friday night with most tables empty so got full attention of our server. Staff was good and friendly and place looks nice & clean….But still can’t give more than 2stars…BECAUSE food is not good and super overpriced. We ordered regular entrees for kids as well and I had to ask if they served kid size quesadilla and 3 tiny tacos!!! Price was full but quantity was decoratedly low!!! …so also the taste…food was bland…no salt or spices we had to ask server if they even make anything with bit of spice
