Classic Wisconsin bar. Get the fried cheese curds! My 83 year old mother had one request for her birthday and it was to go here for a juicy burger. Boy, were they juicy! Order at the bar and bring cash. The regulars and bartenders are super kind, and it’s a fun atmosphere.

The bartenders are top notch at Players. This has my favorite burger in Madison, the cheesecurd burger, especially if Charlie or Wip makes it ❤️ only complaint is bar machines are really tight, the parking is terrible, and it’s always crowded because it’s super small. Worth it though for the food and drinks!

Amazing place to visit!! Our group of 6 walked in right after another large and everyone (in both parties) were served quickly. Food was delicious, service was great, and the 80’s beer posters in the bathroom were classics!!

Good ACTUAL half-pound ‘burgers. Good prices. Be sure to be clear on how your ‘burgers are cooked to order. A couple of the cooks overdo it. Still tasty, though, which speaks well of their meat.
