The bowls here are always delicious and that’s the reason I keep coming back…but I was here today on a Sunday evening and there were only 3 employees working. I’m not saying that employees were slacking because they were working hard the entire time trying to get the orders filled. But we still waited 1hr and 15 minutes to get our bowls. The wait time is unacceptable and they need to add more staff because clearly 3 employees was not enough to keep up with the orders for this evening. In addition to that, the kitchen was visibly very messy and fruit was all over the floor. This made me feel uncomfortable about the quality of food that I’m getting.

I love playa bowls in general but stay FAR AWAY from this location. This location is THE WORST. The bowls are always half empty and if you ask them for more in it they get mad and rude. I just got two bowls and not only were they half empty even though I paid extra for more stuff in it, it was freezer burnt and not edible. This is unacceptable.

The service here is a joke. I waited over 25 mins for one smoothie. That gave me plenty of time to see how disgusting the kitchen/prep area was. It looked like the counters hadn’t been wiped down in days. The fridge doors looked grimy and caked with powder. I saw some of the girls answer the phone and handle the register with gloves and immediately use the same gloves to handle strawberries. I asked them to cancel my order, I will never order from such a poorly kept store. Absolutely no hygiene or respect for the food they are serving to others.

We are big Playa fans in our house. Bowls are always delicious with the freshest fruit. My picky 11 year old can’t get enough Playa and me neither. Can’t wait for the next sticker drop!!!

My bowls are always good; this was the first time I had one that wasn’t good, but I hate to return food so I kept it. I was happy my partner enjoyed his, since I was introducing him to it.

I have been enjoying playa bowls for years! It is one of my favorite things to eat!!! I have always had a great experience with playa bowls at other locations down the jersey shore such as lbi beach haven location and also the playa in Westwood is amazing. However the nanuet location is absolutely horrible. There service is the slowest I have ever seen, they do not fill up there bowl at all, no effort at all is put into there menu items, there bathrooms are disgusting and there staff jokes around the entire shift not caring how the product comes out. Do not go to this location if you want a acai bowl near by I would go to the Westwood location or go to beets juice bar.

I’m torn on this review. I was craving a smoothie and figured I’d give this place a try. I walked in and there was only 2 people in front of me. I ordered an açaí energy smoothie. Right after I ordered a rush of people came in. I think the staff quickly became overwhelmed so I’m trying to cut them some slack here. I assumed they had forgotten my smoothie so I kindly asked if my order was still being prepared. (At this point I had been waiting 15 min). The staff member kind of snapped at me which I was taken aback by. He said “he’s working on it!!” I proceeded to wait another 10 and almost just walked out because I had to get back to work. The lady who ordered in front of me got the wrong order and complained as well. I understand they were short staffed and a rush of people came in but I also was not prepared to wait 25 min for a smoothie. That being said, the smoothie was great.
