Stopped in on the 4th of July since we needed a meal and not many places were open! We got quick and friendly service and the location is set up beautifully! The bowl was amazing and fresh and hit the spot! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something a little different, fresh and healthy.

So I ordered the power açaí as usual which usually comes with granola. Somehow it was no granola to be found in my bowl, just açaís, bananas, peanut butter & extra honey. I reached out to them about this issue just to be told it’s nothing that could be done but reach out to management by email about this issue. Reaching out to management about missing items is absurd & time wasting honestly. But I guess this is what happens when it’s bunch of teens running a business & not caring at all. mistakes do happen but acting you don’t care is another thing.

My half base bowl was so good. The fruit was so fresh and the amount of Nutella was perfect amount to curb my chocolate craving. Loved that the bases didn’t just take like banana.

Yesterday I was with my family in South Jersey and I ordered a Salmon Avocado bowl that was very delicious, today I tried to order it for delivery in Dover, NJ. I called the nearest Bowls Beach location which is Morristown then. I proceeded to order my food over the phone and the girl who answered the phone made fun of my accent and asked me to repeat my order. I repeated it and she told me that “this is not chipotle” and I communicated with the manager. When she communicated with the manager, I could continue to hear the girl laugh at me in the background. The store manager asked me to repeat my order, after Update: After emailing the formal complaint to the Morristown location they never responded. doing so, he laughed and told me that I called the wrong place and he proceeded to hang up the call. So far this is the rudest racist attention I have received in my life. No one has the right to laugh at your client’s accent, it is disrespectful to the Latino community and if they did not understand the order that I am requesting, it is definitely not the fault of a client that you do not instruct your workers everything that Playa bowls have on the menu.

The only bag thing about Playa Bowls is that I’m going to spend way to much money here. That being said the quality and amount you get is and incredible value. If I get a bowl for breakfast I wont be hungry until dinner. Great knowledgeable staff and fun beach vibes inside the store.
