Finally found THE BEST SriLankan food in town. Food is amazing and the service is excellent. Nirosha is an excellent cook and if you’re looking for authentic/Best SriLankan food here’s the pace. Rice and curry is so so good and takes me back home to SriLanka. ❤️ Don’t forget to try those hot patties!! Heaven

Taste like home! Loved the food here and also came with excellent service. Had the fish bun, coconut roti, chicken curry and biriani. Everything was delicious. Will be back when I’m in the area!

I recently got food from here and for an appetizer i got the samosas. The samosas were so good. As my entrée I had the Chicken Tikka Masala Combo (pictured). It was nice and creamy and very flavorful. I would definitely get food from here again. You definitely get more than what you pay for, and that is always a plus.

The young man that helped me was super nice. It’s more of a take out. My first time their. I was famished and ate half my appetizer in the car. Wonderful mango chutney, but I wasn’t knocked out by the food. Great portion sizes, but the seasoning was off.

Literally the best Sri Lankan food I’ve ever had. The moment we walked in I was immediately reminded of my childhood best friend’s house. They even serve the food on homey cutlery.

Really had high hopes and went for a low key dinner. Even though we ordered 3 different dishes, aloo gobi, chana coconut curry, and matter paneer, they all came out looking and tasting the same. Not bad, just not great. Nice people. Very plain place.

This was my 1st time trying out Sri Lankan food. This was within walking distance from my hotel in LA, and the food was too good! We had seafood fried rice and a dish with fish (can’t remember the name), mango lassi. Now I’m constantly craving for the fried rice, it was so good. My advice would be to order ahead online for take way, because it’s a very small space with only three tables. Not ideal in general for sit and eat purpose.

I highly recommend Plate50LA. The food is delicious and of good quality. They remind me of the original Sri Lankan taste. We took food as a takeaway; the food packaging was also perfect. The owners are also very nice people.
