Walking down Main street Stowe with no plan in mind, we heard the din of activity coming from the Plate. Even at just before 6pm the bar was almost completely full and it was clear this was a popular spot for locals and those in the know to pop in and enjoy a 5 a 7.

Reservations are recommended here but we were able to find a couple of seats at the bar. Nice selection of craft cocktails and beers. Worth noting that the gentleman making our cocktails was no ordinary bartender … he was an artist. We enjoyed a cheddar souffle for an appetizer followed by bar steak and gnocchi entrees – both were excellent. I highly recommend the banana pudding for dessert (their signature) … it is simple but so good!

I got the grilled pork chop and it was delicious. The sauce complemented it well and the pork chop was cooked well. I saved room for the banana pudding which was delightful. I highly recommend going.

Really fun little bistro. Limited menu but what they do- they do well. Coconut mussels, soufflé and scallop apps are fantastic. The Sea Bass was crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside.

My wife and I visit this place every time we come to town to ski at Stowe. Always wonderful servers and host staff. We don’t drink, so we have nothing to comment on the drinks here. Mussels are wonderful, scallops wonderful, and the Sea Bass is wonderful as well. Thank you !

We travel all over, I can honestly say this is the best food with the most amazing flavors and variation of flavors. We started with the vegan crab cakes(delicious) to the scallops that were cooked perfectly, ended with the Ribeye over parsnips that were puréed and friend potatoes. The absolute best meal we have ever had. Jen the owner is so great, Brian the bar tender of mastered drinks to Emily our server with great suggestions. This place is a must try. Thank you for the best experience we could ask for.

Came here for dinner, made a reservation via phone several days in advance. Restaurant itself is dark and cozy, music is on the loud side but not too bad. Food is solid quality, I can speak for the vegan crab cakes, vegetarian burger, caramelized Brussels sprouts and apple crisp – all solid menu items.

Food was good but expensive for the portion size served. I’m used to New York prices so my expectation was low but this was surprising. Ordered a raspberry mojito but received a regular mojito. Scallops were $16 for two pieces. Got the chicken entree to share. We were happy that they accommodated us around 30 minutes before closing time but they shut off the air / AC after closing time and was uncomfortable while we finished our meal. Friendly servers but nothing else stood out for me.
