We had a fantastic Friday night dinner here. We started off with the fried green tomatos, which I was a little iffy about ordering just because it’s not something I’d normally get, but we were so glad we did. They were so crispy, and the toppings were delicious. For dinner, I had steak with polenta (substitution for potatoes) and brussel sprouts. Personally, I very rarely order steak out just because I love the way my former chef husband cooks it that no where compares, but I gave it a try and it was SO GOOD. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly with a delicious compound butter. The polenta was also perfectly cooked, so creamy and cheesy; best I’ve ever had and I really love polenta. I had the special coconut drink and a blueberry (?) martini. We had creme brulee. Everything honestly was just perfect. I love patronizing locally own establishments, and this one is fantastic. The atmosphere, food, and service are amazing. We don’t get to go out often but we’ll definitely be back!

Nice ambiance however the food lacked in flavor. Ordered fried green tomatoes very crunchy how I like it but no seasonings whatsoever also ordered the walleye crispy… it came out burnt. The waitress never came back to ask how was our meal. We asked for the check paid and left. $75 bill for food I couldn’t eat

Plat8 hosted our wedding and I could write a book on how amazing and perfect they made the entire day! Jonathan and the entire staff went above and beyond for us from all the help with planning, the amazing food to the perfectly crafted cocktails. We received endless compliments from our guests! We cannot recommend Plat8 enough.

I’ll have to admit that a couple of years ago I didn’t have a great experience at Plat8. It was my birthday. I made a reservation and upon arrival was told it was not received. Hostess/server was very nice and apologetic (ain’t her fault). Most of the menu items were not available. That did not go over well with me considering the prices for the items that were available but didn’t really want .We debated leaving but decided to stay as local businesses need support. Gave it another shot today. Overall good dining experience from beginning to end. Blueberry Martini was refreshingly good. Mussels with chorizo??? Had to have it! Good! Braised short ribs were fork-tender, flavorful and exquisitely plated but the polenta while flavorful was lukewarm.Chocolate cheesecake was rich and delightful. Server was pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere was nice. No complaints this time.

Overall was a fun time. The server was pretty unattentive at the beginning of our dinner, but she got better at the end. The food was okay. Didn’t like the steak tip appetizer we had, might have been the gorgonzola cheese was too stinky for me. I liked the duck noodle soup I got, but it was a little too salty like they had put too much soy sauce in. But it was plated beautifully. The creme brulee was a mixed bag, the custard underneath was angelic but the caramelized topping was a little too cloyingly sweet for me. My favorite thing was the prickly pear martini, it was a shocking pink color and tasted great!

Nice restaurant for date night. Good drinks friendly fast service. I have been here three times recently. Food is good but tends to be a bit overcooked and a bit pricey. But I will definitely be back.

We tried Plat8 for the first time tonight as part of Restaurant Week. Every time we’ve wanted to come, is always on a Sunday and they are closed both Sunday and Monday. Tonight we ordered from the Restaurant Week menu, however, everything except dessert, can be found on their regular menu. We started off with an order of Fried Green Tomatoes which were crisp on the outside and just the right amount of tart from the tomatoes. For our main entrees, my partner had the braised short rib over polenta, which he said was tender and had great flavor. I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi and grilled chicken. Usually, I am not a huge fan of grilled chicken dishes, but this one knocked it out of the park! It was smothered in a feta cream sauce and topped with candied nuts. The balance of sweet and savory on my taste buds was perfect and the chicken breast had a nice seared crust on the outside, yet was juicy on the inside. Dessert was special to the Restaurant Week menu and was impressive with a strong cup of espresso to pour over the mug of chocolate and caramel drizzled vanilla ice cream. My only complaint is that I could have eaten an entire dessert on my own rather than sharing, lol! The staff was friendly and our server was efficient and super-nice! Everyone was adhering to Covid-19 guidelines. Reservations are suggested, which can be done easily online.

My son and I had dinner at Plat8 this evening for his 12th birthday and LOVED it! It was amazing from the decor to the food! He had the burger and couldn’t stop saying it was the best he’d ever had! I had the NY Strip and it was phenomenal. However the goat cheese fritters were a home run for us! The only downfall (and it was minor) they were out of most of the desserts. If you get the opportunity to go, do it! You won’t be disappointed, that’s for sure!

The food was very flavorful for me! I enjoyed my Cuban sandwich with every bite. I highly recommend the gargonzola and goat cheese dip!!! Very rich and creamy. Service could have been slightly more attentive but gorgeous dining spot for small parties
