Visited in the early afternoon on a Thursday. It was not crowded. Had some bakery items as a late lunch and they were tasty, although there wasn’t much selection. Mostly a coffee place. Service is entirely at the counter – no one checked with us at our table even though we were there a good 45 minutes.

I go to this PJ’s somewhat often due to the location. I love PJ’s in general but this one is very mediocre.

The coffee was delicious. Needed a quick pick me up and they delivered. The shop was clean and staff was inviting. I ordered a second cup of hot coffee to go and it was cold (new employee made the second cup). No worries they had a microwave readily available near the seating area.

Coffee was decent (ordered a latte). Only one employee at the time, so it was an extremely long wait (if I knew it would take that long I would have went elsewhere). Would rate the overall experience 3.5 stars, but rounding up as the barista was very friendly and professional.

Atmosphere was cozy, had a big range of drinks, most of it being coffee. There were some non coffee beverages but not many. There were various cold drinks though, frozen lemonade, frozen hot chocolate, and vanilla velvet ice to name a few. The coffee was delicious though and if you want to visit a cute cafe, this is a nice option. Unfortunately no bathrooms though.

Edit: someone from the company reached out to let me know that they’ve made moves to replace/train their baristas on all their drinks after seeing this review. I was invited to try their coffee again, but I was just visiting Nola. I’d look for reviews from December 2022 onward to see if things have improved! (Originally 1 star review, bumped it to 3 for their efforts)

Service by the baristas were terrible behind the counter. Ordered a latte with almond milk, was given an iced coffee with a single drop of almond milk. I asked the barista for more almond milk and she rolled her eyes at me. I paid extra for a milk alternative so I expected it to be more than a drop! Also ordered a strawberry and creme croissant, and got it back burnt!

They are racist! My daughter was accused of alling a woman fat. When she asked to run the cameras back, the laughed in her face and told her to get out! Black womanly whom frequents the store was asked not to come there! I am calling six on your side! This is how emmit till was falsely accused and beaten to death! People with privilege should be corrected! How do you not treat your customers with respect? This phs is awful and I would advise black people not

The only place in downtown New Orleans where you can buy non-alcoholic smoothies.

Really didn’t like this location. There were better options of Cafés in the area. Just wasn’t inviting like the other Cafe shops in the area we have visited.
