I ordered a pizza by phone to be ready by 6:00pm. Got there a few minutes early just in time to see it come out of the oven very burned… They said they would make a new pizza, which they did… when I got home to eat it, the pizza was burned as well… It doesn’t look like they have a timer going for the pizzas. Just a young man shuffling the pizza in and out of the oven. This is the third time I’ve had a burned pizza from 42nd & Fremont. They need to retrain their staff to time the pizza. Very very disappointing… may have to find a new place for pizza… sigh…

I always love getting the supremo pepperoni when I am in town..if you add the garlic Caesar dressing to dip then pizza in you will be in heaven. In promise you it is off the charts for tastiness.

Pizzicato has solid, consistent pizza. We had the Pizza Week Pizza which had steak, potatoes, chimichurri, and caramelized onions. I thought it was really tasty, but would have loved a bit more steak and chimichurri flavor (mainly because those two elements were so good)! I’d definitely go back.

I had not been here in a while, but I returned twice recently, and I was impressed at how the pizza still is so good. I like that it is allowed to take toppings off the pizza or add toppings while ordering online.

My friend said he was hungry, so I ordered him a pizza. However I asked the employees to make it as weird as possible, as a surprise for my friend. They happily accepted the challenge, and he received the pizza, with a cute letter with the secret recipe. My friend ended up loving the pizza so much, it’s his new regular. Shout out to Beth who took my order and only charged me for a small cheese pizza despite putting a bunch of weird stuff on it. 10/10 service.

Pizzicato is a local chain that has been around for ages. Over the years, as the culinary scene in Portland has changed, they’ve adapted to it. They have inventive monthly specials (real talk: that radicchio and hazelnut caesar needs to be on the menu full-time though), and you can order delivery online (which is a nice way to get delivery without supporting the gig economy, if you’re so inclined). The pizza itself is kind of what I’d call “Northwest style”. The crust isn’t quite NY-thin, but nowhere approaching Chicago style. It’s medium-ish thick, and super crispy. Similar to Mississippi Pizza, if you’ve ever been.

My favorite go-to local pizza place. I love it! The Puttanesca is my favorite, but also the Squisita.

Whether it’s a Friday night or a Tuesday lunch splurge, Pizzicato is the place to go to unwind, have a delicious slice or two of pizza and hopefully forget about doing your taxes this year. My only suggestion to Pizzicato would be that if you order two slices (for lunch perhaps), the person would say, “would you want that at the same time or a couple minutes apart?” How genius would it be to finish your first slice and another one comes to your table? Magic, I tells ya!
