My wife called the order in around 6:40pm. Was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. (Queen Cheese Pizza, Big Shoppe Salad, Breadstick, and Ham sandwich) I arrived at exactly 7:05pm. Only a few tables were left. Not a single customer came in until a few minutes before I left for a To-Go order. I waited for another 20+ minutes, after tipping $7 on a $37 To-Go order. Finally a Lady dressed in regular clothing (yellow shirt) walked back into the kitchen to see what the deal was on the wait. And I overheard one of the “kids” in back say “idk why the cheese pizza didn’t get put in”…. Well I’ll try to explain why, based off what I seen… overstaffed, underaged kitchen, with zero authority back there. I actually feel bad for the Woman in charge. The entire 20 minute wait sitting by the kitchen was like sitting in a Highschool locker room. It’s really not that big of a deal but when you factor in how bad the pizza was, it’s pretty frustrating. On top of a 19 minute drive for me one way. Passing many local KC pizza delicacies along the way. My family loves this place. I’ve always had great food from other locations but not from here. I’m sorry but I’m not sorry. If Dave Portnoy came in this place tomorrow it would be embarrassing. I myself would be ashamed to put Kansas City’s name on that pizza. Take a look for yourself. Decided 2 stars out of respect for local business.

One of my favorite pizza places in the metro KC area. Check their website for coupons and save yourself a few dollars. Oh and if you haven’t tried it already, you need to get a salad with the “pink stuff”. You can thank me later…..

The Original. Man I like a crispy crust. And Pizza shoppe doesn’t fail me on that. Been here a lot as well as others in lue Springs and Olathe. Always good. And when asked if you want the pink stuff dressing on the salad. Honestly, it’s the only valid choice.

I have eatin at the north oak establishment and they were very good this one here the pizza was blah the spaghetti was ok the meat balls on tge other hand hand a off smell to them so i couldnt eat them thought might of been spoiled not returning to this location my wife and son werent very happy with the pizza it was bland

This pizza shoppe always does a fantastic job of providing excellent pizza at a reasonable price. If you’re in the area I highly recommend you stop in for their barbecue pizza or their butcher block. Both are extremely delicious. Their salads are fantastic and you must try the pink stuff this local Kansas City pizza restaurant is hands-down one of the best in the metro.

Love their pizza/salad combo but unfortunately, LIKE lots of businesses, in this economy, they are experiencing difficulties finding and keeping workers, they were low on staff and service was SLOW!!!! Otherwise, it’s my fav go to pizza!!!
