Stopped in for a couple slices while at work. Ordered a slice of roasted red pepper w garlic, balsamic glaze and olive oil… Maybe chicken too… Not sure don’t judge me… The crust was excellent crispy flavorful and with great texture… That slice might be one of the best specialty slices I’ve ever eaten in my 42 years of eating north Jersey pizza. The plain slice had the same crust and was a generous portion. Top notch work done by these guys!

Just had the BEST food & service at Pizza Rustica in Rockaway Boro. Soup, salad & entrees all fresh, well prepared, generous portions, beautiful prepared by chef Carlos. Don’t let the casual pizzeria atmosphere fool you. Delicious and very reasonably priced. Italian egg drop soup; served steaming hot, and seasoned perfectly. Side salads included with our meals; super fresh. Excellent service from our waiter, Patrick who brought a huge complementary serving of warm, crispy garlic bread to the table and paid careful attention throughout the meal to ensured our food was prepared to order. We had a very picky friend at the table who was extremely happy but everyone was pleased with their choices.I had Eggplant Rustica: breaded eggplant, served in delicious vodka sauce and topped with homemade mozzarella. They happily changed out my side of pasta for a side of sautéed broccoli for a minimal charge. Carlos who delivered the heaping dish of garlicky veggies to the table himself was warm and humble as we praised his food. ❤️ We will definitely be going back!

Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, well done. It was $30. And a side of garlic knots. The pizza crust was excellent but the rest was a disaster. Very salty, no flavor, floppy, runny and almost wet. The garlic knots were the worst I’ve ever had, were very soggy, the garlic smelled bad, and the inside was wet and fishy for some reason. Unfortunately, this was actually the worst pizza delivery I’ve ever had.

2020-New owners were really friendly and were more than willing to listen to feedback. Ordered a plain slice to provide a rating for the Pizza Hunters App and surprise, surprise they delivered a very good slice of pizza. I was informed that they have been working on their crust which was very good. The cheese was very creamy and full of flavor. They are very passionate about getting better and that is the key to success. Looking forward to going back to taste continued improvement.

Rustica Special Pie is awesome! This pie is loaded with such fresh and delicious toppings, yet when you pick up the slice, it holds strong without anything falling off! The staff is friendly and helpful from the phone call through the pickup process. I also found the prices reasonable for the amount of toppings provided and overall food quality. Great local pizza joint for sure!

I’ve been here 3 times and each time I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t look like much from outside, but the pizza dough has some extra seasonings that give it a really nice flavor. Even the best pizza places anywhere else in Morris County has crust from time to time that tastes like old crackers, but I’ve never had that issue here. Really large portions on the cheesesteak and salad as well.
