I recently stayed in the area for a week and this was worthy of a return visit. Dough, sauce, cheese and toppings were all high quality. It’s a small detail, but they set a new standard for me with marinara dipping cups; great sauce and a substantial portion. The Italian sausage had the homemade, heavy on fennel seed feeling that I’m looking for.

Super friendly staff were an absolute pleasure to chat with. For a family of 4 we ordered 2 small pizzas and a salad and had plenty of leftover to bring home. Homemade crust was delicious, but the anti pasta salad was out of this world. The homemade giardiniera was a treat, as was the smoked sausage, salami, olives and homemade dressing. Can’t wait to come back, thank you!

Ordered a large sausage pizza last Sunday night. When my husband brought it home, discovered it was covered with “bald” spots. I’ve had pizzas before where a blister formed in one section, but this was was covered with not one, but at least 8 of these spots. What happened — did they run out of cheese? Did they bake it at too high a temp? Who knows. Yes, I should have complained about it at the time, but it was after 8 at night, and my husband was hungry. But, it never should have gone out of the shop like this. This is far from the first time we’ve ordered from Pizza Mambo, but it may be the last.

We eat a lot of pizza and have to say this is the best pizza we have had in a long, long time! The service was awesome and very friendly. We ate out on the front patio at a table with an umbrella. Very comfortable and made our experience even that much better if that’s even possible! If you want great pizza, friendly people, great atmosphere, then this is the place to go! We will be sure to come back and be sure to tell all of our friends to stop in and eat when they are in the area!

Amazing pizza! So thrilled to have found this gem. We ate in and got the Rustico. The crust was perfect (we found out later that the owners make it from scratch daily) and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, the sauce had a depth that was the perfect compliment. We travel several times a month to Europe for work and Pizza Mambo is as good as any pizza we’ve had in Milan. Had the Red Velvet cake for dessert and it was heavenly. Took some Key Lime Pie to go since I couldn’t resist the fact that it was homemade.

Fantastic customer service. Place was super busy with take out orders, our party of six was first told it would be about an hour and they were truly sorry for how busy they were at the moment. But we were really in a mood for pizza so we asked them to do whatever they could…staff was awesome, came out twice to assure us they are on it! Our delicious order was delivered in under 30 minutes all with a smile and great attitude. And pizza was great. We are frequent visitors to Saugatuck area, and the food and service were top notch.

Just got to Sagutuck MI for the week and came across Mambo Pizzza near our hotel. We just got there and they had one last 12inch pizza left for them to make for us. They were all sold out and still people where coming in to order. The owners were so welcoming and the most exceptional service we ever had a long time. It was a remarkable change to have being first timers at there restaurant. The pizza was so perfect and the most delicious we have tasted in most of our travels . I definitely would say do not miss dining at Mambo Pizza while in Sugutuck. Come early before there all gone .. Thanks guys for a a great experience.. #1 fan from Ohio

This was our first time here. Service was excellent and so was the food! The staff could tell we were new and helped us through the ordering process for dine-in. The pizza is somewhere between thin crust and hand tossed with a lovely crisp edge. Great topping choices for vegetarians, I highly recommend the vegetarian sausage. The woman I’m assuming to be the owner/manger had noticed it’s eyeing the desserts at the beginning. On our way out we added a couple to our bill to take home. I had planned on the key lime pie and my husband the red velvet cake, but they ran out of the key lime so I pivoted to the tiramisu. All I have to say is, wow! This is the first time I’m glad a place was out of my first choice. The tiramisu was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. Light, not too sweet and really really delicious. We’ll definitely be back when we return to Douglas again. I can’t recommend them enough!

After being aware of the place for several years I finally went ahead and tried Pizza Mambo for take out. I got a large Greek pizza for dinner and I was very happy with it. The staff was friendly, and the pizza was hot, fresh, and delicious. They cut the pizza into squares, so each slice was a little different. I plan to try the Rustico pizza next.
