Troddenvale Grower Series Silver Creek Orchards 500ml
90% Rub Red Crabapple, 10% Wickson Crabapple from Silver Creek Orchard – Nelson County, Virginia 1060’ elevation. Ruby Reds were pressed in mid October, directly to a neutral French oak barrel. A week later, a portion of over night macerated Wickson was added to the barrel. After an uninoculated, native primary fermentation the cider sat undisturbed for a seven month élevage. The cider was racked off its gross/fine lees in early June of 2022, bottled sparkling via traditional method undisgorged, and rested for an additional four months in bottle before releasing. No additions of SO2 were made at any stage of the cider.

It’s a very chill outdoor seating atmosphere with picnic tables and bistro lights. Very pretty at night with the lights. You can order wine by the bottle or glass. Best Pizza in Richmond. The staff are thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind. The pizza is hot/fresh and the ingredient choices are limited, but I like that, and it helps to ensure high quality ingredients. The crust has the perfect amount of chewiness and crunch ratio. If you like deep dish, this is not your spot (lucky for me deep dish is not my favorite). The vibe is perfect, whether you sit indoors or outdoors. My main recommendation is to eat it fresh and hot, on location if possible, but these pizzas are masterpieces anyway in my opinion. There are fun vegetarian and vegan options as well. This restaurant is reliable and consistently amazing every time I go (and that’s literally nearly every Friday if I get my way). Pizza Bones rocks! Cool pizza, cool art, cool people, cool vibes. GET SOME!

I had high hopes for Pizza Bones but was a little let down. The biggest positive was the patio seating with seasonal decor. As for the pizza, the two we ordered both were lacking. I don’t mind a thin crust pizza, but this crust was bordering on too thin- which made the specialty white pizza soggy since it couldn’t bear the weight or water content of the mushrooms. On the other hand, our pepperoni pizza was too charred in the bottom and too salty for my liking. With so many other pizzas in town, I don’t know that I’ll return.
