At the pit stop I got ordered to barbecue sandwiches with slaw. He told me to it would be best to order a pound of pulled barbecue it would be cheaper I told him okay my friend would have the Buns. I also ask if he had the Fried Pies they advertised and he said he didn’t have any the meat itself we had to chop it up when we got home but it was delicious it made a good sandwich we had to buy slaw on the side I’ve never bought barbecue like that separate like that but it was okay the barbecue was good the slow was good we as had to take it home and put it together

I saw the sign of the smoked meatloaf driving by. It attracted me and I decided to make a u-turn and came back for it.

We were there around 11 on a Sunday. There were people waiting. Hoping to try the smoked meatloaf but that was still in the smoker. Wanted to try the homemade fried pie but there weren’t any available. Maybe Sunday isn’t the best day. Ended up with a burger and fries. They were okay.

It would be nice to be warned that the fried pies would be pulled from the fridge and wrapped up. Was a bit disappointed that they were cold. Really expected it to be at the very least warm. Not only that they charged us 22 dollars for 2 burgers and 2 fried pies and then shorted us the change.

Started coming here in the spring and I have nothing but good things to say. They even help out a few families here and there during the holidays. Stop by and check these guys out. I recommend the smoked bologna sandwich or the brisket plate with baked beans. Fried catfish is also very good but they don’t have it all the time. His fried pies have caused me to gain probably 25 pounds but that’s fine.

What can I say about Pit Stop BBQ?! Well I’ve traveled and lived down south…. But WOW! This is authentic at its best! If you’re in Murray you NEED to check this joint out. Not only is it delicious but the owner is great and the prices are extremely reasonable… Plus the portions were big! Gotta come and Check out Pit Stop!

The best Kentucky BBQ food and experience. Meeting the chef and talking all things BBQ was a bonus. The meatloaf was delicious as was the pulled pork sandwich. If you want brisket, call ahead to book our check they have it available. Thoroughly recommend Pitstop! Some of the best we have had yet!

Read the reviews before going. Got there at 6:30pm on a Thursday night and the bbq sandwiches were not very hot and very dry even with slaw on them. Had to go out to somewhere to see if they had french fries and may have got 10 fries with no salt, only drinks they had was 1 Pepsi and a few Diet Pepsi’s and didn’t have but 2 of the deserts the menu offered. 2 sandwiches and 2 fries was $21. Not money well spent. The only good thing I can say is we ate it because there was no other bbq place close.
