This by far one of the best bbq places I’ve been to. All this time living so close to such great bbq. Can’t wait to go back and try more items. Loved sitting outside watching a thunderstorm roll in it was a perfect atmosphere.

Oh my gosh! The burnt ends burger with a slice of brisket on top is out if this world. It has a smoky taste and the texture is really hard to describe but so good. The old gas station atmosphere is different, but really nice. I have found my new favorite burger place. I hear the brisket mac and cheese is really good, but has been sold out both times I’ve been there. Do yourself a favor and stop the next time you’re in Slaton or passing through.

We drove down from Abilene tx today, Some of the best BBQ and Owners ever. Everyone was super friendly, food was amazing. We even got 3 burgers to go , ate them for dinner, Amazing! The Owners came and talked to us , told us some great stories and some recommendations on places to stop before we drove back home. We will be back for sure. The drive is worth it.

Our favorite place to get barbecue ever. The only place within 100 miles that I will buy barbecue. Here’s one reason why…..we like our brisket moist (=fatty). Today, they accidently gave us lean brisket. I took it back and they immediately replaced it with moist brisket that was outstanding. I really love the place that the couple that owns it are the best. Thanks

I’ve heard about this place for a long time and finally made it out there. People, this place is legit! I was disappointed that they were out of a lot of things but that just shows you how good it really is. We got the ribs, brisket Mac n cheese and the phenomenal fried cabbage. You have got to try Pitforks and Smotherings!

While driving on my way back to San Antonio, I stopped here for lunch. The place is not much to look at; it’s anything but fancy. But the brisket was absolutely delicious, and the service was great. The two ladies I encountered were sweeter than apple pie.

Brisket sandwich was super moist. I got the sliced and it was so tender it just fell apart. The atmosphere was the coolest scene, old school gas station feel if your in the Lubbock Area 100% recommend trying.

You will leave here with a smile and be greeted with a smile. The barbecue here is nothing short of amazing. This is not just any ol’ bbq place, this is a barbecue staple. The meat is always consistent and the sides are a great compliment to the meat. Don’t let the appearance fool you; this is some of the best bbq you will have in the state.
