The Ribs and Mac & Cheese were delicious, although I would have preferred a spicier sauce. The slider also tasted great. However, the cornbread was a bit dry for my liking. The service was good, but I found everything to be a bit expensive.

First time for us, great draft beer selection and bartender was friendly and attentive. We started off with the pulled pork nachos. Believe they were made in-house chips and they would have been good but were so oily. Pork was ok, plenty of it but we wouldn’t get it again. They have four sauces they put out for you to use with your meal, which is nice. We got the pastrami and the brisket plates, (meat with a side of your choice, cornbread and pickles). Broccoli salad was good, like a Sunday church social flashback. We didn’t like the beans and both meats were a bit tough and dry. There was a smoke ring on the brisket, which you want to see but maybe cooked too fast/too hot?

Stopped by Pit and Tap because I wanted to try it out! It was exactly what I was looking for. From the ambiance to the food it really good. Let’s start with my appetizer of the smoked wings! Full of flavor and done just right. Really liked them! For dinner I had the ribs which were also great! Perfectly smoked and the rub was perfect. I tried the house sauce and I would say that was a little sweet with a peppery finish. It complimented the ribs perfectly! For sides I tried the mac and cheese and elotes. Loved them both! Overall this was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back to try more of their offerings.

The only great thing was the beans. I wouldn’t order the other stuff again.

Tried this place out and was really impressed. Started with the pulled pork nachos which were really good. Then I had the Texas Two Step with pulled chicken and a hot link. The chicken was well seasoned and great but the hot link is not to be missed! It was so good I could have had 5 more. The item also came with a side and corn bread. I picked elotes and was happy with that. Overall I really like the atmosphere here and will definitely be going back.

Been here before, had smoked wings. Today however, totally disappointed with the food. Had their version of cheese burger w/“earl sauce”, or should I say “earl sauce” with two very small beef patties? Thank goodness I didn’t want tomato, would’ve been a disaster!! Had to finish with fork and knife. Fries cold, wife’s first cup of chili was also cold. Bright spot, Brooke was very pleasant, and apologetic. Live and learn they say. One more point, $18.00 for a burger you can’t even pick up to eat???

Great atmosphere and experience! Love the huge windows with seating looking out to downtown Wilmette. Very creative specials and welcoming staff. The bar chairs are very comfortable and there is a great drink menu.

Good BBQ is hard to find around here. Pit & Tap doesn’t disappoint. Add good cocktails and a nice room with good service for a great dining experience. The operable window wall seating and patio is a nice bonus in the summer months. Don’t pass on this one.

A pleasant restaurant with good service located near plenty of parkings. We ordered ribs, briskets, wings, banana pudding, etc. All were delicious. Wish the meat were warmer. Otherwise all good.

What a lovely place to bring the kids on a weekend afternoon! My son has allergies to gluten and peanuts and I appreciated that the menu was peanut-free and that there was a great selection of gluten-free entrees. Furthermore, the service was exquisite and the staff go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience.
