Misleading signage. Drove out of my way for a late breakfast with my fiancée specifically because the website said “BREAKFAST AND LUNCH UNTIL 4PM”. Had we not been so hungry, I would have left when the barkeep told us they were only serving lunch.

Great breakfast considering they opened one week ago. The cheese grits were fantastic. Our server Katie is very welcoming. The hash brown were not what I was expecting but the eggs and bacon were good. I definitely recommend.

The view is lovely, and the wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food was ok. I wasn’t impressed with mac n cheese that was basically a liquid cheese substance over funny shaped noodles, but the rest was good. The prices are quite steep, especially for portion size, but overall I liked it and my husband loved his dish.

First of all we had a great server for breakfast. Our stop was the day of this post. The food was average for taste, however the biscuits and gravy were not that good. The biscuit (1) was dry and leaning toward being hard. The gravy was scant, just enough to wet the top of the biscuit but nowhere enough to be biscuits and gravy, but hard biscuit and a very little gravy. Our server brought more after I asked. I won’t order that again and likely won’t go back. Sorry.

Loved the location overlooking the golf course. Club sandwiches were good.

We have visited the new pinnacle bbq 2 times. Our first experience was disappointing as they were out of the chopped pork. It was early afternoon. We tried it out again last weekend, just for a drink and snack. The bartender was distracted. We were the only people at the bar, there were two tables with people eating. We ordered a basic Margarita, the bartender was so distracted we had to ask again. We decided to try the smoked sausage with pickled vegetables, I was hoping to order the jalapeno mac n cheese, but it was not on the newer menu. The Margarita was watered down yellow swamp water-undrinkable. The smoked sausage was good but the “pickled” veggies were not pickled, they tasted like they had been sitting in water to long. We used to enjoy coming to this little get away for a drink and snack but it keeps changing and not for the better.

My experience here was absolutely horrible. I am staying at Rumbling Bald Resort for an event. I came In yesterday at about 11:20 am for breakfast. The sign outside said Breakfast and Lunch till 2. I came In and found a seat In the bar area. The server came over and rudely asked “What do you want!”. I said “I would like to have a menu and a drink please.” She came back with a menu and smacked it on the bar, and literally stomped off without getting my drink order! She had given me a lunch menu so when she came back I asked her for a breakfast menu. She said “We don’t have breakfast”, again, rudely. I said “The sign says Breakfast and Lunch till 2”. She literally threw her hands up in the air and loudly said “I don’t make the sign!!!”, and again stomped off, not even asking If I wanted a drink. At this point I was done. There is no reason to treat anyone so badly. I just left and went somewhere else. This was appalling behavior and was seriously offensive and embarrassing.

Good breakfast food – loved the skillet and cheese grits were excellent! Coffee mugs need to be bigger and the coffee itself needs to be hotter and stronger. Hash browns could be more authentic – they were more like french fries

Much better than expected barbeque from a golf club restaurant. The pulled pork was most and smoky. Served as a sandwich it came with Cole slaw and one side for $10, so the price was also reasonable for a golf club restaurant.

This restaurant is truly a diamond in the rough! The menu is so extensive that I could keep going back for more just to try out the different dishes. My chicken caprese hoagie was out of this world! I’ve always had it as a salad but the amoroso roll and balsamic reduction takes it to a new level dish. The fresh ingredients and wide variety of choices will certainly have me as a repeat customer while visiting Lake Lure.
