The Gadson
Frequented mostly by those wanting fried chicken livers and gizzards this place is a solid option for lunch and takeout. A fun diverse menu that resembles a country convenience store. Brisket is good but not pitmaster quality, same with the sides. Prices are good and overall experience has so far always good.

I called first to ask if they had sausage wraps. Lady on the phone said yes. Went over to order and I asked once more in the front counter if they had sausage wraps. She said yes. So I said let me get one of those and my father ordered a gizzard combo. Cool. 3 minutes later we get 2 gizzards combos. Uhhh… where’s my sausage wrap??? She didn’t charge or ring us up for it and instead rang us up for two gizzard combos. I had to order and pay again for sausage wrap when i should have gotten it in the first place. So much for customer satisfaction. And now that I’m sitting and eating my sausage wrap, I’m looking around and it’s filthy here.

I’ve been going to pinkies since I was younger and I’ve always loved to gizzard.. you can’t go wrong with them . Today I got gizzards and a chopped BBQ sandwich and they were both great. If you like your BBQ saucey I’d recommend getting extra sauce . The employees were friendly so thank yall

Haven’t had them in while so decided to stop for lunch. Very disappointed today. Sauce was watery, sandwich tasted bitter (like vinegar) and gizzards were cold. Needless to say, I didn’t eat lunch today.

Went and bought some gizzards and they were kinda dry and didn’t have very much crust on them… their bbq sauce was very watery not thick the way it used to be… also had a bbq sandwich and was disappointed cause had a very thick slice of just fat and the crust of the brisket was real hard no even chewable…

Went to at 4704 4th street. We sat right in front of counter controlled by kid’s. Our food was place on counter never called out number few families waiting. Two different familes complained prior to my order about gizzard being cold. The gentleman behind counter are rude. Disrespectful. No professionalism at all. I won’t be returning.

Pinkies is an institution in Lubbock and to the surrounding communities. I ordered a small tray of Gizzards and “Hot” BBQ sauce, so delicious and that sauce is unique with a kick!

DISGUSTED! First time here at this restaraunt and had I known they served UNCOOKED food, I would of kept going. The cashier was sympathetic BUT excuse was they don’t cook it here and that its brought from somewhere else. She say they have no way of knowing what they are serving. I took 2 bites not knowing meat was raw. I initially figured their food just wasn’t as tender as I was used to but the 2nd bite with less sauce covering the rib exposed the raw meat. These pics are flattering because in person you can see the rawness clearly. I do not recommend. Rolling down my window and throwing a 20$ out would have been a better experience with same result. Waste of money.
