I went for my 1 year anniversary and this place doesn’t disappoint. For starters we got the Jerk peel and eat shrimp. It had so much flavor. I’m not a big fan of okra and this made me rethink it lol. For our main course we had the Chickpea curry and Rasta pasta. The chickpea curry wasn’t heavy and loaded with seasoning. You could taste each ingredient, the chef knew what he was doing with that dish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting.

This restaurant was a vibe. Its Jamaican/southern black folks food into one. The food waa tasty. I loved the curry shrimp. I sample the cornbread that had jalapenos in it. The red velvet cheese will make you smack your momma. The mac and cheese has a smoky flavor to it.

We were so happy with our experience tonight at Pink Salt! Our server, Ava, was perfect – on time, friendly, great conversation. The food was everything we hoped it would be. We had the collard green dip – I could eat a gallon of it with a spoon, it is so good. The oxtail stew with cornbread side was comforting and delicious. My husband got the rabbit with asparagus and the sauce the rabbit was in was amazing. Even the specialty drinks were on point. We will definitely be returning.

Pink Salt became my favorite restaurant in Jacksonville from the first visit. After 4 more visits, I’m finally deciding to give my two cents that it remains to be my favorite restaurant in town. On our last visit, my wife and I celebrated wedding anniversary. The head chef/owner (Richard) surprised us with a special dessert he curated at the end of our dinner. It was the nicest action I’ve seen by any chef. The margaritas on the rocks were a hit, as well.
