I’m a huge fan of mom and pop restaurants and will go out of my way to support one rather than eat at a big chain restaurant. We’ve been passing by this place every few days for months and thought we’d give it a shot. In the entry room there’s a big bubble tea counter (always a good sign) with a great assortment of smoothies and bubble tea. The main dining room is full of bright line green tables right out of an 80’s movie set. The food and service smacked of the foods we got at the night markets in northern China. Small hand formed dumplings and buns prepared in house and all of the standard sauces. Nothing was mind blowing but everything was good. It’s a nice spot if you just want some quick comfort food or something fast before a game or concert.

SUPER cute shop. The lady in the shop was so sweet and appreciative of our business. She gave us a coke and some candies and was just so sweet. BEST soup xao long bao we’ve had. Wishing I could go every day!

The lady got mad at us for grabbing a wipe and cleaning the seats. They were dirty. Then she tossed the food on the table. She gave me the pot stickers as if she just tossed them on the plate dirrectly from the pan and didn’t even separate them or take off the burnt sides.

Undisputed heavyweight champ of dumpling houses in Seattle. Shop owner is wonderful and food is very good. Have not found a worthy restaurant competitor yet

The food here is fine, as is the service. We felt taken care of and the food came out quickly but we weren’t super excited about the flavors. Everything seemed like it was made with care, but just lacked seasoning. The touchless ordering and paying was a nice and easy to use, but we left underwhelmed after having read a bunch of reviews before coming. We tried the scallion pancakes, pork soup dumplings, and the pork and scallion crispy dumplings, but none of it left us wanting more or planning when we could come back.

Very delicious dumplings and pot stickers. I ordered 24 pot stickers and 20 dumplings, for 2, and will no doubt order double that the next time we visit Seattle – we ate them all before we got home to Tacoma. I highly recommend this place!

Got the pork and seafood dumplings and beef fried noodles. The dumplings were over boiled such that the skin was mushy. The filling wasn’t very flavorful. Just pork and salt really. Didn’t find any seafood or seafood flavor in it. The fried noodles were pretty mid and the beef was overcooked. It was also way too oily. Did the job for a quick lunch, but definitely regretted not going to dough zone just down the street instead. Wouldn’t come here again.

Beyond expectations. Bad food. Weird atmosphere and weird way to pay. The food was terrible. I have never seen a Xiao Long Bao like this… No soup in it, dry meat and hard skin. But the best part was the vegetable dumplings, we couldn’t even eat it, it was sandy and terrible taste.

I got a couple pounds of frozen dumplings to take home. Stellar option, and delicious. They travelled well (was taking the train up north to Bellingham) and cooked up great.
