I don’t normally write reviews, but with this restaurant, I felt compelled to write one. We were in Marcell for two weeks on vacation fishing and ate at this restaurant three times. The service here was bad all three times. We were basically ignored. We always had to ask for everything as no one came back to the table. The gal at the counter was OK but we always had to go up there and ask for refills. Our food came out wrong a couple of times. We didn’t order that item, but they never came back to the table to check on us. This restaurants reviews are so good which shocked me. After the third time I said OK that’s enough chances we aren’t going back. We decided to drive further and get better service. This is a very cute restaurant. They just need to tell the waitresses to be a little bit more attentive. They all act like we were imposing on them? Maybe they didn’t like us for some reason but we never complained just thought they were having a bad day. After 3 times and 3 different waitresses I was done.

First time visit but it will not be our last. We really enjoyed Pine Cone and it is very nicely decorated inside. Lots of things to gaze around at and this is a very clean restaurant.

Hidden gem in the northwoods. Solid patio seating with plenty of fresh air (diner style inside if mosquitoes bug you), thorough menu with lots of breakfast choices. Excellent selection of baked goods. Bonus stars for staff attention to Covid and social distancing. You feel safe.

Such a cute place to eat far away up north! We had a wedding nearby so we went eating Pine Cone several times over the weekend, because we are in deep neck of the woods? So not much of options around. On a Sunday with a big group for breakfast to wrap up the weekend before hitting the roads back to Twin Cities, the waitresses and the owner did a wonderful job hustling our orders and very friendly employees!

I’ve dined at the Pine Cone several times over the years and the food is always well-presented and delicious. This morning I ordered the French Toast w/bacon and it didn’t disappoint, perfectly prepared and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar on a plate that didn’t show any fingerprints from the kitchen. It’s the little things that matter.

Went for breakfast and it was delicious! Brought back cinnamon rolls for the rest of our family at the resort we were staying at, they were a big hit! Wanted to go back for ice cream and lunch, but ran out of time. We’ll definitely be back next summer!
