Listen. I know LA has a lot of options for great Mexican food. But Pinches is still one of my top favorite spots for burritos. Look at the photo. Their burritos never overflow. Juicy but not messy. And the guy who works there discreetly serves you everything you need; I was looking around for a cup of water and without my asking, he got me a cup! Top notch. Sure, you should try a bunch of different Mexican restaurants when you’re in LA, but if you want a reliable place that will consistently make you full and happy, go to PINCHES.

This review is for the Culver City location. I have been a long-standing customer of Pinches for as long as they’ve been in business. I have recommended countless customers to their location on Sunset in Hollywood. They are the ONLY place I go to get GOOD, fresh, Mexican food. I admit they are pretty overpriced ($60 for a plate of nachos, tiny (4oz you know the size of standard small salsa container) guacamole and chips, and two taquitos,but at least I know when I order food, I know what to expect. I can usually count on fresh, flavorful ingredients in nearly ANYTHING I order. Pinches RARELY disappoints (ok they def aren’t generous with portions or giving containers of their salsa-even on a large order) and when they do it’s such a minor detail that my meal isn’t ruined.

Favorite Mexican food in Culver. The tacos are so good. My favorite is the pollo mole. It’s great to see Culver develop, but I hope places like this are able to stick around to keep the character of the neighborhood.
