A bit pricey for what you get. Service was slow. I got the perch lunch portion and it was served as sauteed, but it was heavy on batter and too soggy for my liking. Friends got the shrimp and said theirs was a lot of batter too. Sitting on the patio with friends and a great view helped boost my rating.

Perch dinner( market price) steak sandwich (7 oz ribeye) Seasonal resteraunt. Perch is excellent. Love the smelt when it is in. Portions are a good price for value. Wait staff is very attentive and helpful. I can’t figure out how so many people can eat at such a cozy resteraunt without having a line out the door.

This place looks like it’s going to be just a dive up until the point you get your food. My fiancee and I stopped in while visiting in the summer and we were genuinely impressed. She got the lake perch, which was fresh and lightly seared. I got the cajun chicken sandwich; it was huge, vibrantly flavored and tasted like the chicken had never been frozen. The stuffed mushrooms weren’t just dropped in a fryer from a GFS box, they were real mushrooms hand stuffed and lightly battered. The service was great, the view of Lake Huron was amazing. Don’t let looks fool you with this place.

The prices are very high for what you get. I ordered the Pier 23 Whitefish which was 20$ The dish was very bland. The flavor I did get was not tasteful to me at all. Very small portions, service was good but sadly will not return.

We both tried sauteed walleye and wine sauce served with broccoli and a side salad ,the meal was great. It makes me sad to think they are closing in 8 days for the rest of the year.
