By the sound of things in the internet, we thought we’d better make reservations for a Friday evening dinner. When we arrived, the place was far from full. But, I’m not sure why. Our experience was very good. The server was great. The food was delicious. I’m not fond of having to work so hard to get to the crab meat, but hey, it is what it is. We got the low country boil. The first combo on the menu. There is a lot of food. You get to choose different sauces for flavor. Our server suggested getting the sauce on the side rather than having it boiled in the sauce just in case we didn’t care for the sauce. Well, I got the Pier 11 sauce medium and LOVED it.

I really enjoyed eating at this location. My friends and I came here for lunch on Thursday July 21st. We enjoyed our meals very much. I orderd the half pound of shrimp with noodles, Coen and a potato. Both of my friends orderd a crab boil and oysters as an appetizer.

This was my first time at Pier 11 Boiling Seafood and it exceeded my expectations. The server was polite and attentive, and even helped with placing our order, as the menu was a little confusing for a first time visitor. The food was excellent, no one in my party was disappointed. The price for our food and drink was on point! I highly recommend and will be visiting again with out hesitation!

Me me optimistic
Food was bland. Prices have gone up and quality is definitely down. My water tasted strange, like it was carbonated and tap mixed. My son’s lemonade tasted the same. For the money I spent I decided to just make the broil at home. I don’t go out to eat often and this was a reminder why. Can’t speak on service since we never ask for anything.

Not happy with my experience. I order the same thing each time – crab legs, Pier 11 sauce, hot. Today I splurged and got an extra side of the pier 11 sauce- Hot. Normally the coloring of the sauce is a reddish color, I thought, from the spices, etc. Today, when opening my bag, I didn’t see anything that appeared to be spices on my crab legs…. And the extra cup of sauce may as well have been only butter, based off the color and taste. I called, and asked them to make it right. Well, after driving back for the remake, I basically get the same thing. I guess that was poor judgment on my part to not check while there. Idk, maybe HOT just isn’t what it used to be or the cook today just wasn’t on it. But I was very disappointed and felt my time and money had been wasted, especially after driving back. So there’s that.

It was our first time having seafood boil and overall great experience – the service was very helpful especially when they noticed that it was our first time and that we weren’t familiar with the process and “extras” (e.g. bib, gloves). Reason for docking a star is because the portions are smaller than expected; for example the combo is said to come with 1 potato and 1 corn but the potato is tiny (smaller than the egg) and the corn is not a complete cob, so be prepared to over-order if you want to feel full.

I don’t understand how this place isn’t packed all the time. The food is awesome, the drinks are awesome, the staff is nice. I’ve been here half a dozen times the last few weeks. It’s become my new favorite restaurant.
