We have been to this restaurant several times in the past. Always had good service and good food. Unfortunately, the general public is no longer allowed in, so we were turned away this evening. Would have been great if they actually mentioned this on their website! Would have avoided the 30-minute drive.

Had the grilled watermelon salad… that was unique but surprisingly was very filling and bonus **** guilt-free.

Ate here multiple times whilst on business. Great food both indoors and outdoors. Wait staff during lunch is young but willing to go the extra mile. If you get the steak, make sure to ask for it cooked a little rarer than normal. I requested rare but got medium. Delicious otherwise.

We had our holiday dinner with a large group at this restaurant. 3 of us ordered the Lobster Ravioli and got extremely sick the next day. I called the restaurant and resort for 3 days straight, left a voicemail and no one got back. It even routed me to someone’s direct cell phone and she was confused how I got the number, even though that’s where it routed me to. After trying again for the 4th day, the manager Jeff got back to me. He apologized but that was it. He said he was going to follow up but never called back. Disappointed with the response. It is not a coincidence that all 3 of us got food poisoning. We will not be returning.

Wait staff was distracted and inattentive. After our food didn’t arrive for an hour we asked our waitress about it and she was surprised we hadn’t received it yet, then told us the kitchen had forgotten about it. She only had 3 tables to take care of. Overall very strange and overpriced for this level of service.

My husband and I booked a reservation for Easter Sunday Brunch through Open Table. When we arrived, the host said we weren’t on the reservation list. My husband showed him the Open Table reservation confirmation. He made a call to someone, then disappeared for several minutes. When he reappeared, he asked if we were members, we told him no. He said the brunch was exclusively for members. We told him that was ridiculous since we had confirmation for our reservation. Once again he disappeared for this time approximately 10 minutes and when he returned, he told us a table was being prepared for us. We were thinking the room must be packed. We were taken to our table, and along the way there were COUNTLESS empty & dirty tables; in fact, there were only about 4 tables occupied. We sat down & a waiter asked us if we wanted a drink & told us to go get our own food at the buffet. WE WERE COMPLETELY DISGUSTED & DISAPPOINTED!!! The menu made it seem that it was an upscale buffet including shrimp, oysters, and think mussels & or clams, carving station for prime rib, salads, vegetables, omelette station, desserts, etc. With the price of $85 per person, we could only assume everything would be top notch. To our surprise, the shrimp was waterlogged (appeared to be frozen/thawed out), chewy/brownish colored oysters, mussels that weren’t open (when they don’t open, they aren’t safe to eat), the the prime rib was dry & not tender (like a quality prime rib would be), the vegetables were obscure options…extremely disgusting seasonings, no regular garden or Cesar salad available, and when we had to resort to an omelette (you’d think this couldn’t go wrong), the person making the omelette was asked to include spinach, tomatoes, onions and cheddar cheese. He started each selection with about 1/2 of a teaspoon of each ingredient, when asked to increase the amount, he added a tiny bit more. Turns out he made them with what seemed like mozzarella cheese. We literally placed each plate we attempted to eat off to the side of our table…COMPLETELY DISGUSTING!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO LANSDOWNE – the entire experience was unbelievable and a total waste of money.

Lovely lunch on the patio with a friend. It was my first visit, although I live nearby. My grilled chicken wrap was at least as good as any I’ve had in the area. The chicken was juicy, and the “stuffings” were fresh and tasty. The waiter was attentive and well-supervised by the shift manager. It was reasonably priced, too.

Disappointed as new members. Was told to seat ourselves in bar area. No other acknowledgement or eye contact from any staff around ( two bartenders, two servers and a male manager within view). After 10 minutes we left.

This place is pretty bad. Views were beautiful on the outside deck, but that’s about it. Whatever you do, do not get the pretzel/“charcuterie” board. The meat was really disgusting – quite literally looked like round slices of bologna from the grocery store. Plus like 30 olives? Mixed with strawberries?? It actually was so gross we didn’t even want to order dinner anymore and just enjoyed our bottle of wine and the views. The prices are too high – like a restaurant trying to be fancy but missing the mark. Definitely would not go back.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with lunch AND dinner at Piedmont. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, leaving us feeling full, satisfied, and happy we didn’t break the bank by going to DC Prime Steak or Eddie Merlot’s.
