I went here and I’ll be honest I was STARVED. I would’ve eaten anything and been satisfied, I’m also not too picky so im not particular about food. I ordered fried pickles and a chicken sandwich. I wish I took a picture of the chicken but it was a nugget sized piece of chicken in my sandwich and the rest was bread. As bad as the size was, the taste of the chicken was even worse. Tasted like I was eating old fish with the texture The fried pickles were gross and soggy and flavorless.I will never be eating here again.

I went to UT for several years and ate at Phoenicia at least once a week. I’ve been gone for a few years now and definitely miss this place the most. Always had great service, delicious food, and good prices. Glad to see they survived the pandemic.

the best food ive had at the school. It has a small business feel with you getting to know the people behind the register. they remember your regular orders and the owners/non-students are ALWAYS in a positive mood and they’ll make you feel the same when you come by

Their pricing is good. Food tasted decent. The quantity of the food is decent as well. I had ordered green beans which were okay, they were very bland and had no taste for me personally. Also, had ordered a sandwich in a pita bread which was good. The size was quite big and the fries which were freshly made were good too. All in all a hearty meal at a very decent price.

Great owners! Great food! Fair prices. I’ve been working at the University of Toledo for many years and frequent Phoenicia often. It’s a great place for meetings with students or colleagues. My only growth feedback to the owners would be this: The decor needs updated, particularly the mauve colored vinyl table covers that have been on the tables for 25 years and the servers need to be more observant and take dirty dishes off the table. Overall, a very good place for lunch and dinner. Best hummus in town!

Phoenicia is a regular lunch spot for my wife and I. In years of undergrad and grad studies I haven’t encountered anything I did not find tasty or well prepared. As a regular patron I highly recommend the burgers and philly steak sandwiches.

Ordered my chicken Sharma plate for $9 and waited 15 minutes (and there was nobody waiting in line)plus for my lukewarm meal on a thin layer of rice. A little overcooked and tasted ok, but was pretty disappointed with what I received after waiting that long. With how I received it, they should have just school it out of the already made pot of food from the warmer. 3 stars for the flavor, no more than 2 for the wait and portions. I mean really rice is at least a filler.
