This is a top tier restaurant in Providence. The food is always good and they have great options for traditional Laotian and Vietnamese food. We have tried lots of different things, but haven’t had a bahn mi yet. We recommend trying the Laap with chicken and a side of sticky rice. The restaurant itself only has two tables and no restroom, so take out might be preferred. But we did eat here before and it was fun. The owners are really nice. Ample street parking in front.

My partner and I drove from Boston just to eat here.The restaurant’s name caught my attention because the Lao word zap (sep) means delicious in reference to food and saying it twice in conversation means very delicious/yummy.

Stopped in on a whim today wanting some Pho, and was not disappointed! The broth was deep and flavorful, you can tell it’s crafted with care. The pad see ew was also incredible. This place feels less like a restaurant and more like a loving family member cooked for you (so that is a very good thing!!). Each dish tasted fresh and carefully cooked. The inside is a little small so keep in mind if you are expecting to dine in. But the owner Alou was very kind and welcoming. Love places like this and can’t wait to go back and try more food. You HAVE to come and try this gem of a restaurant.

Amazing! Should be 6 stars for food! Laotian immigrants Dad, Mom and son. Beef Pad Thai among best I’ve had, reminding me of the best i had in southeast Asia. The Pho was large and filled with many treats. Crab Rangoon was handmade with real crab. Pork egg rolls to die for. But be ready for a very simple, small place. Three tables only, cash only.

Probably order here at least once a week. Authentic Lao food if I don’t feel like cooking at home. Papaya salad is made extra spicy to my likings, bbq beef bahn mi is the best in Providence, egg rolls are served hot and crispy, but overall EVERYTHING is fresh and so delicious. The family/owners are extremely very kind and welcoming. I’ve been recommending this place to a lot people. A must try if have not been here yet.

Their beef pho and egg rolls were delicious! If you’re picky about how you like your pho, this place makes it with much authenticity in its taste! The inside was a bit cramped, not many tables, maybe 3 or 4. But it’s definitely a good whole in the wall discovery!

I went with a few friends and watched as the owners lovingly made everything fresh to order. Everything came out very well cooked, so hot and fresh. We got egg rolls, pad Thai, laad na, and more. I was very impressed with the quality and would go back in a heartbeat.
