With the weather ruining my plans to smoke some chicken I decide to go out and get some dinner instead. Hadn’t been to Pho Bistro in a while and I’ve never had a bad experience over 9 yrs. Today I decide to try something new. Change my usual #1 to #4 Grilled pork Spring roll; went for the dinner plate #56 Spicy Stir Fried Shrimp, comes with white rice and fried egg rolls; and to wash it down with the usual Thai Tea w/o bolba. The Spring roll was recommended and it was a good recommendation, the grilled pork pieces were of decent size, soften noodles and the fresh flavor of lemongrass and fresh vegetables. Can’t forget dunking it in that peanut sauce just . The Spicy Shrimp stir fry was delicious, not hot but you can taste a hint of heat. There’s hot sauce on the table for the fire breathers and I’m sure they can bring you some sweet heat like the sauce served with the egg rolls which were great. Similar to my heritage food of lumpia of the Filipino cuisine. Not a lot of veggies loaded with meat, thin and fried to a delicious crispy exterior and a steamy inside. Back to the Stir Fry, shrimp was cooked perfectly not over cooked and tough. The veggies, cooked to a tender crispy texture, not soggy, broccoli, cauliflower, onions and mushrooms. Definitely can tell it’s fresh. Sauce was delicious added a little spice to it. It’s a large restaurant with a small operation so it may seem to take longer than other places especially if there is a large volume of customers. It’s worth the wait or order take-out.

I cannot wait to come back and try other foods. 🙂 In my opinion, it tastes so much better than Westbank. Same pho, but different way of cooking it.

I ordered spicy noodles soup with beef, the meat in the picture is what I got, I don’t know what kind of meat they are, they don’t look like beef to me, look very disgusting and probably the worst part of the cow, I will never go back to this place again and hopefully my review can help other people from getting disappointed in this restaurant!

Cozy restraunt. Very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was fast and amazing. It was priced really well too! I ordered a pho with brisket and meatballs. It was super tasty. Finished off dinner with a Boba tea. I always order taro Boba, and this place has one of the best I’ve had yet. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back again.

Delicious! If it weren’t for the fly in my tea I would have rated it a 5-star.. Food was very flavorful. Best in St Tammany Parish for taste for sure. Ambiance could stand improvement. Value for portion size and price was perfect. We will be back and we don’t live in Slidell.. We ordered bottled waters after sending the teas back. Also I recommend the fruit smoothies minus the tapeoka balls…way too many balls made it difficult to just drink the smoothie and it was yummy..
