This place was wonderful right after it opened. Don’t know what happened but was in there for lunch recently and was very disappointed. Traditionally, Vietnamese rolls are served with lettuce leaves to wrap around the rolls to hold as you dip in fish sauce. None came with our order. So, we asked for them. Got one lettuce leaf and then was charged $1.50 for it. I have been in many Vietnamese Restaurants all over the country. They all serve them with lettuce. The young lady there told me, “We don’t do that.” WTH? Never again.

As a Vietnamese family, we’re always looking for good Vietnamese food and have driven to Vero for years because there wasn’t any good place in Port St. Lucie or Ft. Pierce. So glad we found this place. The service is always great. The food is always fresh and delicious. Every single food item and beverage has always been served exactly the way it should be. The only complaint from us would be that we wish they were open later.

We had great food at very reasonable prices. There was a variety of choices for any diet. The portions were huge; we took home enough for another meal. The flavors were fresh and varied. Several sauces and flavorings were served on the side so the diners could determine how much they wanted. We will certainly return to try other menu items.

I ordered the shrimp noodle bowl. They have no appetizers it at this time for weeks. When I got home there were eight over cook shrimp a pile of dry noodles and a little bit of lettuce and bamboo shoots no Broth no sauce just terrible! It was kind a like going to an Italian restaurant and ordering spaghetti and they just bring you a bowl of noodles and some dried over cooked meatballs. Just pitiful

When this first opened, the service was less than good. So much so, that I almost wrote a scathing review. But, it has improved, and I’m glad.

Gathered a few friends together last Friday to try out the pho since it’s the closest pho joint with an hour of us. Looked up hours online and it says they close at 9. All 6 of us get there at 7:43. About a 45 min drive there from north Vero. Walk up to the door, there’s a piece of paper titled “new hours” saying they close at 8. If we’d known this we would have came earlier. It’s only 7:43 though they should still serve us right? No. As I’m walking up to the door I watch someone lock the door, turn off the open sign, and close the blinds right in front of my face. I don’t think I’ve ever been so rudely treated at a restaurant in my life. 17 minutes till close and they couldn’t at least say that they couldn’t take us or some excuse. I have no comment on the quality of the pho, although it’s unlikely that I or any of my friends will ever take the drive again to try it out.

GLUTEN FREE and DAIRY FREE options. Their chicken pho and steak pho both were tested with the Nima sensor and are confirmed to be gluten free. Delicious broth, friendly staff. Will return and explore more of the menu.

This place is closed randomly and puts open ended notes on the door about which day they’ll be open again. Currently the phone is disconnected. When it is open the food is great. I just wish the hours were more predictable so I didn’t drive 20 minutes out of my way to find they’re closed.

In an area that has sometimes been called a “culinary wasteland” Pho 16 stands out as an oasis of flavor.
