Little diner, I just happened to drive past and wanted to try it out. I don’t normally go to DeLand, but my mom’s new eye doctor is down the street from the diner. The best part was when we walked in, and they had a full-size cut out of President Trump in the dining area and Elvis Presley on the walls. The music was good and the service was good as well. The bathroom was clean. Now for the food, we all ordered 8′ cheese steaks, and they were freaking delicious! French fries were seasoned and fresh. I highly recommend this place and will visit it every time we visit my moms doctor.

I used to have a five star review that had been viewed 3,000 times. I was happy to help a local business. Unfortunately, the last 3 times we have been here have been awful. This morning was the last straw. We waited in line for 20 mins and the server seated the people who walked right in before us. Mistakes happen. Then she took there order first too. We sat for 20 minutes with the server dropping menus and saying she would help that table then us. No problem. Then another table of 6 walked in and she took their order first too! We had now been sitting for half an hour with no drinks and no explanation. 3 servers and no drinks. We walked out and won’t be back. It’s unfortunate because we had talked this place up for months and had out of town guests who came just to have the Philly cheesesteak with us.

Breakfast was as good as I had been told. My server was excellent although very rushed. Most of the other servers were working quickly also. They needed someone to bus the tables and mop the floor as multiple coffee spills remained on the floor the whole time I was there. However I will go back for the food.

I just bought a house in Deland so me and my daughter were looking for a good diner and we came across Philly’s, we decided to stop in and give it a try. The food was excellent, but the service was even better. Both servers that were there were great but our server was amazing. She catered to my crazy two year old and was just over all super sweet and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

My dad comes just about every morning. Great ambiance of Philly culture. Decent service and good food. They have improved in breakfast. I made a review a few months ago that the eggs have been cold but lately the eggs have been nice and warm! The owner does his best to please his guest!

Philly Diner is amazing! I ordered breakfast for 65 (faculty and staff) Edith I. Starke Elementary. Cliff and his staff were so sweet, helpful and accommodating. The food was hot, wonderful and ready on time. We all had full bellies and smiles. A huge thank you. Highly recommend

This was one of the worst dinning experience I’ve EVER had. The place is dirty, Flys all over , ever table was left unbussed which would contribute to more Flys. The food we ordered was gross. The server was rude and way out of line. My daughter and I didn’t like the meal at all. She say me make a face when I tasted it ( not intentionally)
