We ordered 10 different tapas here and all of them were so good! I highly recommend the mushroom rice- that was my favorite. If I came here again, I wouldn’t order the pig’s ear salad or blood sausage. Those dishes were still good, but also relatively bland and I’ve had better elsewhere. I am excited to come back here again and try more tapas.

This is a fun place to go to out with friends or to celebrate something. The portions are small since it is tapas style so it’s best to order lots of dishes and share which it can get pricey. I recommend going for a special occasion or once in a while. The service was very good. The flaming chorizo and the seafood rice are must orders! The steak sandwich was cooked to perfection.

It was a pleasure running into Fernanda, one of the owners who was diligently keeping the bar counter clean and inviting. Our server Gil was outstanding, and our hostess Jessica managed to seat us promptly, even though we arrived 30 minutes early. And we must commend Lorenzo for the exquisite flan, which was reminiscent of the one my wife’s grandmother used to make back in Vietnam – a truly stunning experience.

We returned from traveling through Portugal last month and was looking for a Portuguese restaurant in the Bay Area. We live in east bay and traveled to South Bay to try Petiscos. A big part of our travels is eating local cuisine and more authentic food experiences. So we had pretty high expectations for this place. First, decor was a nod to Portugal and a nice touch. The Sangria was good and the tapas style plates started to flow. All the food was great and reminiscent of the flavors we had in Portugal. We would definitely make another drive to Petiscos and try more dishes that we didn’t get to try this time.

We ordered takeout for my dad’s birthday lunch. I loved the classy atmosphere inside. There were many people having business lunches there when I came by on a weekday during lunch. We wanted some fine gourmet food for a special occasion and the food did not disappoint! Every dish was mouth watering and delicious. It truly was a taste of Portugal. I’m not sure why people are complaining that it’s too expensive? The prices for the “tapas” (small plates) are on the menu. We ordered many small plates to ensure that it would be enough food for 4 and it was about $200; which is very reasonable. This is food you would find at a Ritz Carlton. Don’t eat here if you are cheap or on a budget. Otherwise enjoy!!! Everything is rich in flavor. Highly recommend. 5 stars!

This is a restaurant with unique atmosphere. Petiscos means snacks or appetizers. So you should not expect large dishes seen in regular restaurants. The service is nice. Several small dishes can top the bill over $100. Foods are average. The beef togues smelled good but tasted bland. The garlic shrimps were overcooked. The popular Flamed chouriço taste good.

The food was good overall. Some were hits like the pig ear salad, the scallops, and the octopus. Some were misses like the pork & clams (strange flavor) and the flaming sausage (it was cold and salty). My main criticism was that the service was slow and unorganized l. No one introduced themselves so I was unsure who my waiter/waitress was as it seemed like the staff was all over the place. At the end when I asked for the check, the waitress dropped off the electronic card machine at the table and walked away, with no explanation of how to use it or even a thank you. It was an awkward ending to the experience. FYI Parking in this area of town can be difficult, although there are parking garages nearby.

The food was really good. I’d never had Portuguese food before coming here and it was a very interesting experience. Heavily seafood based so if you like seafood then definitely check this place out.
