the food is excellent, the atmosphere is historical and amazing. The staff is friendly, attentive. This is not somewhere that you plan to eat in a hurry. Enjoy the slow pace of what ever meal you are eating.

This place was an absolute delight to eat at. The staff was very kind and attentive. Our waitress which I’m pretty sure was the owner, was very funny and kind. The food was delicious. I had the prime rib sandwich with French fries. The appetizer combo was delicious also, it has calamari, fried shrimp, fried oysters, and delicious soft shell crab. Just an overall great ambience here. Please come try it out you won’t regret it!

How anyone can give more stars is a wonder. From making reservations weeks earlier for a birthday to actually having dinner, service is terrible and food is not worth two dollar signs. Wait time for any service while not at even half occupancy is ridiculous. The staff appear to be friends, neighbors of the owner than actual competent servers. Not worth the ratings and money.

I had always wanted to check this place out. Have driven past it for years. For my birthday this year I decided this is where I wanted to go and to support a local business. From the moment we walked in the door it felt warm and welcoming. The young man that served us tonight was so polite and attentive and went above and beyond in service. Now the food. My salad was delicious and very fresh. A simple starter salad but so tasty and nice size. We had the clam chowder. Clams were plentiful and cooked well. It did have a tad bit too much pepper for my taste. I dipped my bread and used the oyster crackers and it helped dull down the pepper. The portion size for the soup was huge. I will just get a cup next time! For the main course I had 12oz prime rib, broccoli, and baked potato. My prime rib melted in my mouth and the au jus was the best I have ever had!! My broccoli was cooked perfectly, soft but firm. It was lacking flavor but I added a little butter and scarfed it down. The potato was, well, a potato, lol. I usually like my skin covered in olive oil and garlic salt and having a little crisp. So for me, it was just a potato but it wasn’t bad. My husband had the NY steak and he let me have a couple bites. It was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and was so delicious. He had the cream corn, of course let me try some. The corn tasted fresh. I really liked it. I did have to add a little salt to it. The hubby would’ve liked a little sweetness to it but we differ on that opinion, lol. My son had pretty much the same thing I did, so nothing new to report on his except that, he ate his whole plate lol. To make me feel special for my birthday dinner, they brought out this huge plate with ice cream and a scrumptious and moist brownie covered in whip cream and caramel sauce!!

Peters 8oz famous prime rib was on point, medium well done. Also the seafood appetizer was very appetizing, the crab was spot on. The host is very friendly. I will definitely be back to try other steaks and recommend others to Peter’s Steak House. I rate my meal and first time experience 9.5 out of 10

I love Peter’s Steakhouse located in Isleton. It’s a cavernous space filled with Chinese antiques true to the original inhabitants of the town. As you walk in there is a bar that usually has four or five locals enjoying drinks and chatting each other up. I always sit at the first booth as you enter the restaurant and enjoy very friendly and efficient service. The prime rib is fantastic and what I usually order, although the trout and other main dishes are fantastic too. Portions are generous. I enjoy eating the house salad on chilled plates. A glass of wine is only $5 and tastes just fine. It’s a great place for date night, going out with the family, or meeting up with friends for drinks. After your meal walk around town and explore the store fronts or pop over to Walnut Grove or Locke for more exploring on the delta.

Very nice historic room. Good, not great prime rib dinner. I’ll stop in again when I’m in the area around dinner time. We were able to be served when the upper end restaurants in Lodi had 45 minute waits for a table.

Took my mom to Peter’s Steak House after a car show. This was the first time I had ever been here. It was on a recommendation matter by someone at the car show. We were the first customers that day. I looked around the place. You can feel the history in this old riverside building. However, the decor is confusing with sports posters, old timey photos, Japanese cabinets, and a hodge podge of different stained glass.
