So disappointed, we used to like coming here. The patio is one of our favorites, though the bar was closed for the whole summer. The place seems to be a little run down and the service is poor. For the experience the food and drinks are pricey for what it is. The local competition is doing well. They have some fun happy hours in there bars and seem to bring in the crowds. The one star I will give Pete Millers is the live jazz bands.

My wife and I just got home from Pete Miller’s in Wheeling. We got there early enough to take advantage of their full dinner for $24.99 special (available until 6). I had their chopped salad, Prime Rib, Onion Rings and Key Lime Pie and the portions were extremely generous and all were perfectly prepared. My wife had Tuna Tartare, Salmon, Spinach with mushrooms and Key Lime Pie. She says it, too, was perfectly prepared and tasted great. Matthew, our server was most attentive as well. Great food, great service and a great price. Can’t ask for more!

Thier surf and turf dish tasted like it had been sitting in the kitchen for a week before they served it to me. Not fresh at all. Food was way over priced for the quality. No decent craft beers available. Won’t be returning to this one. The one in Evanston is slightly better and has a pool table which is fun for group get togethers. Take your chances there if you must. This one isn’t worth stopping into given the other options almost within walking distance.

The service itself was good Aytor was our server and he was on top of things. The food was excellent, buttered scallops 5/5. I unfortunately forgot to keep my ticket which I required to do my expenses as my I used my company card to pay for the meal. I reached out to them by email and received a prompt response requesting more information which I provided and got no response. I gave Samantha Knapp (general manager) a few days to reply and still no response, I emailed her again and got no response.

This is a great alternative to the nearby chains. It is locally owned and has very consistent food. The steaks are great and the filet trio is the dish to try if you want to try several of the toppings, such as horseradish. The whitefish is fresh and a good alternative to steak, as is the salmon. The wedge salad is delicious. The jazz in the bar adds to the fun ambiance. Good wine selection, too.

Great steak as we had the bison strip. Merlot wine complemented the steak very well. Our server was great but her support server was non-existent- They forgot bread, water, and steak knives. Our server made up for that. It’s a bit pricey but worth the occasional visit.

Terrible. We made reservations on Open Table at 5PM for a romantic Valentines Day dinner. It was about 7 degrees when we got there – yet the valet had the entire parking lot roped off. Meaning we had a long walk to the door on a really cold night. When we got there the hostess people were less than thrilled to see us. They first parked us in the bar in front of a TV. Not what I had in mind for Valentines day. I asked for the cozy, dark dining room. Instead, their second attempt at seating us was to put us on the barely insulated patio beneath a bright light bulb and right beside a window. We were freezing. So we asked, again for the dining room. The manager kept telling us “Unfortunately…since we hadn’t particularly RESERVED the dining room….and Unfortunately since it was such a busy night (about 3/4 of their tables were open at 5 PM….” ) I was ready to leave, but I gues the manager moved something around and put us in a great big booth in the dining room. At least it was warm. By this time I was practically in tears, as she advised me that “next time to be sure and ask for the dining room”. I assured her that most likely there wouldn’t BE a nex time, and there won’t be. Our server, Noelle, was lovely. The food was fine – nothing special. But I am still angry about the way we were treated. Did you realize you had to reserve the dining room at a restaurant? Who knew?? So my advice is take your $200+ and go to Flemings, Sullivans, Wildfire, or any of the other plethora of steak places around here. They won’t have to worry about finding a place for us next Valentine’s day. Due to the managers HORRIBLE attitude and complete lack of customer service and one too many “Unfortunatelys”, we’ll be taking our credit cards somewhere else. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service is my review. Don’t go there. You get treated nicer at the McDonalds drive-up window.

Let me start by saying I have never written a review before, this is just not my thing. I know this is going to sound like a horror story from a bad movie but I wanted to share our experience with this place. I apologize for the long review upfront but this is the only way to describe the experience we had.

My review is for the service, not the food. This is a second that that I make a reservation and the person taking it over the phone gets in wrong. I specifically requested a booth, butupon confirmation was told that we are confirmed for a high-top table. I repeated myself three times when making the reservation, knowing that there has been a screw-up once before. I just wish that people would pay a little more attention. The hosting staff is borderline obnoxious. This is not the impression the management wants to make on its guests… No wonder our corporate outings shifted to another restaurant in the area.
