This food cart is a hidden gem in hood river! Best pasta my husband and I have ever tasted. You can tell that the owner is so passionate about the food. The tiramisu was so decadent and worth every bite. If you haven’t tried this place, don’t walk but run to try everything on the menu.

The creamy pasta was incredible! So rich and filling. And the focaccia is DELICIOUS! The salt on the crust, the perfect spongy texture… I’m in love. I’ve never had such an incredible meal from a food truck before!

The owner, Elizabeth, is so lovely. Excellent food AND conversation! This was my first visit, and I will be back with friends! It’s been a while since something so tasty popped up in town 🙂

So glad we stopped by! The menu rotates by the month, so we didn’t get the gnocchi a previous review raved about, BUT we were NOT disappointed at all!! The fusilli pasta with a ragu sauce was delicious as was the focaccia bread.

Pesco offers a refreshingly unique, rotating menu of regional Italian dishes. The combination of fresh local ingredients, with select imports from Italy, produces a flavorful selection that you won’t find anywhere else within sailing distance! I’ve enjoyed the umami of anchovy, and the subtle but distinct flavor of duck, as well as the familiar taste of pomodoro.

I’m writing this review after my second dinner, the first was so good I wanted to wait to confirm one more time before reporting back. The noodles are righteous, Possibly the best I’ve ever had. The sauce is perfect, both times. I’m blown away. Reminds me of Italy.

I enjoyed several wonderful meals at Pesco during my first week back in The Hood. Chef Elizabeth is serving delicious authentic Italian, cooked with love. The Caponata is as good as I’ve had anywhere. The gluten-free chickpea fritters are fluffy and delicious, especially with Elizabeth’s homemade seasoned mayo. The Arborio rice balls with the meat sauce centers are also a treat. The swordfish was seasoned beautifully, the pastas cooked perfectly and served in authentic inter generational tomato sauces.

Amazing authentic Italian in full class-4 kitchen despite being a food cart. It was awesome watching Elizabeth make everything fresh through the giant window and hearing her story, and the food is as good as some $50 plates I’ve had in Portland despite being simple and fast.
