They have the best michelada in town, and it is their own recipe.

I cannot express the mouth watering food I just had. Both the cashier and chef were extremely welcoming, recommended us the Aguachiles and tacos; we also got Micheladas (which they make from scratch not just using Clamato juice!) and some soup. The food was rich in flavor, came quickly and smelled absolutely amazing. Im originally from Mexico and this almost made me cry because it reminded me so much of home. I was surprised to see that the place wasn’t packed! I definitely will be returning soon with more friends, it won a special place in my heart.

I went looking for a new place to eat. This place had great reviews. I walked in on Taco Tuesday and the place was empty! The food is horrible. The fish and shrimp in the tacos were like little hard rocks with no taste at all. They are way over battered & way over fried. They don’t taste like fish, shrimp or even batter. They load the taco up with cabbage and sauce and that’s all you taste. The soup went straight in the trash. It was way too salty. The beans taste somewhat authentic but have a odd taste to them. The rice was fantastic. The owner is very proud of his son having graduated from chef school but he should go get his money back. I can’t imagine who taught him to cook like that. I don’t see how this place has survived 24 years in business. And the tacos were way over priced at $4.50 each! I was told they’re big tacos. Yes, they use the regular size corn tortillas that were falling apart stuffed with cabbage & sauce. I can’t recommend this place to anyone. Pleasr don’t waste your money like I did. I was very disappointed.

Great place to goto. Family run restaurant and the customer service is always friendly. The fish burrito was very tasty and full of flaver. You should try the rice it’s the makes your tummy feel so good. I didn’t have room in my tummy for the whole fried fish, but next time.

Small mom and pops place with family atmosphere. From the way that they greet you while taking your order to the way they cook, their service is great. Excelente servicio y la comida es muy sabrosa!

Was in town and looking for some seafood and this was the closest place near by and they did not disappoint. It was so good and for the amount of food they give you its worth every penny.

Not fancy. Fresh. Flavorful. Friendly. My husband loves to frequent family-owned businesses. We were visiting a local arboretum and found John’s seafood grill tucked away next to several other restaurants (and a yummy bakery around the corner.) We sampled the fish and shrimp skewers, fish and shrimp tacos, ceviche (?), and a seafood soup with a rich, subtle tomato base. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and generously-portioned. The rice that accompanied the meal was perfect. (We were so enthralled with John’s friendliness and the tasting experience that we forgot to take photos!)
