Every time I eat here, I eat too much because it’s too delicious. Authentic, fresh, and family-friendly. I’d feel comfortable taking my grandma for a birthday meal, or choosing Perly’s as a brunch spot with my goofball friends. A welcoming (but very busy!) atmosphere, and so many tasty dish choices you’ll know after one visit that it’s the first of many trips.

I can now understand why there was a 45-minute wait for a table…the food is that good. The egg roll and the fries were excellent. The cabbage roll would have been perfect if the sauce were not as sweet (because of the raisins). The borscht was ok but not as successful as the other dishes…maybe better if served cold especially during summer. Many thanks to Claire for the excellent service and for sharing the story behind Perly’s.

Perlys can get very busy on the weekends! And it’s a fairly small restaurant so the wait might be awhile. Most all the food was great quality and made fresh. The Reuben was not as good as I was expecting but I’m willing to give it another chance. The staff was very nice and made sure we left happy.

Great good! Get here early to get a spot. They opened at 9am and there was already a line at 830. We opted for mimosas and a bloody mary. The house made pickles really made the drink! For breakfast, we had Benny Goodman, Cinnamon Babka French Toast, and Bagel with Fish. All were phenomenal. The everything bagel with chive cream cheese was delicious. Great service and atmosphere. Will visit again. Don’t forget to grab a black and white cookie or two to-go!

Waited 45 minutes for seats on a Sunday and it was absolutely worth it. I could easily spend hours here talking and drinking coffee.

If I lived in Richmond, Perly’s would be my go-to for breakfast and lunch as often as I could justify it! Service was excellent, and the decor takes me back to New York City. A word of warning – it might be helpful to choose your entree in advance, because everything sounds good (but there’s usually a wait, so you’ll have plenty of time to work up your appetite for something in particular).

Great food! My husband got the Ruben, which he really liked and the everything bagel rim on his bloody Mary was the best I’ve ever had (salty/garlicy).

Man, Perly’s is just awesome. It’s so good, in fact, that I forgot to take more pictures. We got three different dishes and only one ended up getting photographed.

One of the best delis in the Richmond area! Had an amazing Rueben sandwich with a perfect ratio of the most tender corned beef and sauerkraut and bread. The bread was fresh and toasted perfectly. Even after driving 30 min it was not soggy as is typical for sandwiches.

Expect to wait especially during peak hours but the owners / chef are geniuses. One of the most comprehensive, innovative and delicious menus on the eastern seaboard for Jewish food.
