Well, not so good this time. I stopped in to this Perkins because I wanted some turkey and dressing and I knew it was on their menu. First of all, I asked for water to drink and there was something wrong with the water they brought. It just had this harsh acrid chemical flavor and it caused me to cough. I couldn’t even drink it.

We never got our food asked at front 30 minutes later plus saw the table that was having trouble ordering just their drinks (because no one seemed to know who should be taking there order they asked 2 different people but they just said they will find out then never came back) got their food and they had never put it in. They gave my son his drink free but no food. Noticed the excuse was the lady got off work and didn’t turn in the ticket plus that was the excuse for the table by us. I love Perkins but this was my first time to this one and also my last.

Promptly seated, promptly served, drinks and food arrived in the expected amount of time. Ordered the turkey dinner and the mashed potatoes were not heated properly. The gravy was hot, I choose to say nothing and eat it as is, just wasn’t feeling like making a big deal out of it. Our server did a good job. Took a strawberry pie home – AMAZING – get one before they are gone for the season.

My team eats here a few times every time we are in town for 2 weeks. Good variety of food and everyone finds something they like. Sometimes service is slow but still a good option when you have a variety of picky eaters.

If I could give this place a zero I would, but one star is the lowest. We were sat by a very nice lady, but after we were sat we saw two different party’s get there drink order and food. We both (me and the waitress) looked each other in the eye but she still didn’t come over. We sat for over 20 minutes watching people get there orders and food but we still didn’t even get our drink orders. Until they change we will not come back.

We stopped in for dinner on fathers day, 2023. So it being Sunday night and the holiday, the place was pretty busy. We had to wait a bit for a table. It seemed like they were short handed since there was only about half of the restaurant being used. Maybe more, but one whole wing wasn’t being used.

First thing, the server took my drink order and disappeared for at least 10 minutes. It shouldn’t take that long to bring out waters and coffee for two adults and two children. Whatever. Just plain annoying. They were NOT busy. Next thing is they bring our food out, except that it wasn’t our food. And when they finally figured that out, they forgot our appetizer. But they already brought me the check. Did they just comp it since it was their mistake? Nope, they brought me out a revised ticket. Customer service just doesn’t happen anymore.

Unfortunately, it appeared the hostess was also a waitress, a cashier, and was apparently in charge of handling billing disputes. The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived, yet it still took about ten minutes to be seated, mostly because the hostess was handling a customer complaint while bringing out drinks and delivering food to the few other customers in the place, and cashing out a person leaving. I guess she was doing the best she could (apparently) working alone. It took another ten minutes to place our order with a new person/waitress. A few minutes later, my waitress returned to tell me that the kitchen had run out of chicken breasts, so my Cajuns chicken order had to be changed to chicken strips. The food I got was good, but not what I had wanted. It really appeared (sadly) this place was understaffed.
