Great little coffee shop. They have a nice selection of baked goods with vegan options. Lovely place to get breakfast or lunch. They even have a bunch of gifts like candles, homemade jams and pickles, tea towels. I love their vegan blueberry banana bread.

I desperately want this place to become my morning coffee shop go to. The bagel sandwiches are solid (not NYC-good but let’s tamper our expectations a little bit), the coffee is great, the location is awesome, the prices are excellent and c’mon people, let’s support our small businesses. But all that said, not matter how hard I try to will it into existence, I just can’t justify coming back because every time, it is so…so….slow. Especially when you order food (which is sad because the food’s tasty!).

If you haven’t been to Perk, I’m just going to assume that you don’t live within driving distance. Now 8 years old, it is a distinctly cozy neighborhood coffee shop and lunch spot. Inclusive and loving, they have good coffee, good food, and good people working there. I have eaten far more than my share of coconut bars, tiny hand pies, and Friday’s frittata, which gets fought over by pretty much everyone because there’s never enough no matter how much they make.
