I hate giving bad reviews as the owner had probably owned this place for a very long time, but the food was bland and boring like the decor in the restaurant. Granted I have only been here for Easter dinner (yearly) and is is always the same garbage food. Mix it up a bit, unless oily noodles, instant mashed potatoes and under cooked green beans really draws a crowd. This place needs some serious attention and upkeep. Everything is so dated and falling apart. Makes me wonder what shape the kitchen is in and weather or not it is sanitary back there. The owner wiped his nose with his hand then went straight into cutting meet off the loin on the buffet. Everyone says the steak is amazing here which I hope it is, but all the little things that make up the experience need some attention.

Excellent dinner, everything from oysters to escargot to pasta fishes and let us not forget the veal. Big helpings and very reasonably priced. A wonderful “go to” on the Island

This gem has been here for 40 years and it is amazing. The beef tenderloin medallions were amazing. Perfectly cooked and tender. The lamb chops were equally as delicious! Great for a date night. Come check it out.

When we arrived, from a distance, a waitress pointed to where we should sit, we then sat for over 10 minutes before being greeted. We ordered one dozen oysters, $36. They were frozen. We had to ask for menus. We ordered T-bones and Porterhouses to be told they were out. Would have been helpful knowing this in advance before we were ordering. Only choice of steak was the $40 strip steak (7pm). We settled for that and it had to be sent back because it wasn’t cooked to the right temperature. I ordered Veal Tosca, I received some fried tough veal, zero sauce. How do you serve a tosca without sauce (White wine, lemon and heavy whipping cream, BTW.)! Dry and disappointing. I did not use the restroom, however my husband said he would have preferred to use a porta- john over the disgusting men’s room(wonder how they keep up their kitchen?). We came to dine and spend money. If everything is good, we don’t mind spending $15 on a martini (in a small martini glass) and $5 on Cokes, $7 beers, $18 for 6 oysters, $40 steaks. Everything was wrong with this meal from microwaving steaks to the right temperature, to serving a signature Italian dish without sauce. We did not enjoy our dining experience. We will not be back. Way overpriced for mediocre food and service!

This was our first visit to Grosse Ile in 20 years and had a great dinner at Perdino’s which is a locally owned and operated fine dining restaurant. The owner greeted us and helped to make the visit memorable.

I’ve had nearly every meal on the menu and love them all. Great pasta, steaks and seafood. Friendly staff that goes above and beyond to make your experience the best. Great place to hit on busy nights when it’s hard to get tables elsewhere. Since the dining room is so large and they are in a small town that most people forget even exists you’ll rarely wait to be seated. Been going here for over 15 years and can’t say enough good about it.

The flatware doesn’t match, neither do the dishes or glasses. Very outdated. The ‘specials’ are the same as menu price. Silverware was dirty. I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like. Food was ok, but way over priced considering the everything outdated to 1980’s. The ‘owner’ sat at the bar drinking and eating the whole time we were there, i don’t recommend, there are many other great places downriver

What a hidden gem on grosse ile. Great ambiance and the food is perfectly prepared. We had the filet mignon and lamb shank. Both were spectacular, and to top it off a live piano player. 5 star in my book.
