I am always looking for great places to eat, and this place checks all the boxes. What a fantastic restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is top-notch. The waitress Lisa was extremely pleasant and friendly, never more than a few steps away. Verry attentative to anything we needed. The food was outstanding.

WOW!! I live in Elkhart on the north side. Very sad I hadn’t been here until yesterday! Lunch from Bruno’s and then pizza last night at Per Bacco! Buonisimmo!!!

This place doesn’t look like much from outward appearances. But as is so often the case, the food is outstanding. Some of the best Calamari I’ve had in a long time. Big meaty pieces and cooked to perfection, not to death as too many other restaurants do. If you like spicy I recommend the Saccotini. It made me sweat! And the Tiramisu is excellent. Obviously homemade in house. A nice friendly atmosphere makes you feel like you’re dining at a friends house. I highly recommend you go and enjoy!

Second time visiting and AGAIN they did not have items that appeared on the menu, waitress said they have not had Blue Gill and lemonade in months. This happened the last time we visited. But the best is to come. Just left there with our food in tow because it was SO HOT in the restaurant. Our food took forever as well. Patrons were coming in saying how hot and stuffy it was. The waitress was sweating, and it was dripping from her face, so I can’t imagine how the cooks were sweating over preparing the food. Couldn’t eat my food after thinking about that. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Bill was just under a $100.00 for this experience.

I’m not much for reviewing the food I eat at a restaurant. But I had to share my disappointment with Per Bacco. We went on a Tuesday evening specifically to order their wood fired pizza only to learn that it is only available on Friday and Saturday. I was greatly disappointed. How simple a thing to do to add that info to the menu both online and in the restaurant. We ended up ordering the butternut squash ravioli in some type of sauce. The ravioli on its own was delicious, but it was swimming in the sauce. Ravioli is heavy on its own. IMO it does not need a heavy sauce. A simple brown butter sauce or lightly dressed in EVOO would have made this dish much more appealing. On a positive note, we were pleasantly surprised to see a full bar, the waitress was kind and attentive, and the Chanti was delicious.

Our server was impeccable! The food was even better than the service! I had the gnocchi special while my wife had the cheese ravioli for our main dishes. Appetizer was covered by their meatballs in vodka sauce (OMG! 2D4!) The chef made a special habenero jelly to top their goat cheese crostini plate so again, yum beyond yum! Then came desert! (See the pic) it was and cake and creme and light after a heavy red sauce Italian meal! This restaurant is a bucket list item! Add it to YOURS!

Pricy especially for kids meals. We ordered 2 girls the adult Alfredo as was little cheaper than 2 kids meals but ordered the shrimp with it so it came to $29 so did not save $$$, BUT it was a huge serving. Other girl had pizza which was very large for child size. We adults had the ravioli which was huge and excellent as was the soccatini my son had and it was excellent! I ordered pizza and it was super thin crust my favorite with light sauce, sausage, Pepperoni, artichokes and mushrooms very good flavor. The bread and oil served is excellent. We will go back.

We decided to try this place out while we were out on a drive. I thought the food was very good, and had very very fair portions for what you paid for. I would likely come again as the food and service was good.
