Stopped in for a late lunch after a long travel day. Visiting the town I was born in! Was greeted promptly and warmly. Struck up a friendly conversation and as soon as the owner realized we were there for the first time she offered a host of delicious salsas and took her time to explain each one. They were delicious! My wife ordered a smothered burrito (with beans, coleslaw, and shredded lettuce) and I had their red Chile enchiladas with Chile con carne with a over-easy fried egg. Again…it was awesome. Definitely a must eat! The staff is very welcoming; you can tell it is family owned because the family says hello to everyone and makes an effort to ensure you are taken care of. The food was DELICIOUS! Now this is real Mexican food! Do you like that home cooked taste rather than a commercial restaurant feel? This restaurant encompasses the true culture of Mexican cuisine and experience!

This restaurant is just as good as it is bad. Many of the flavors and items are perfect and on point. However, some of the portion sizes are extremely tiny. The french fries are just awful and I believe they’re using store bought crinkle cut fries.

We’re from out of town and stopped by on a recommendation. The service is incredibly warm and friendly, and kid friendly. They were full and we had to wait outside. When the restaurant is full they lock the doors so no one can come in but there’s a sign on the door if this is the case. They brought us a few samples of the sauces so we would have a better idea for ordering, which was nice. The chile con queso was bland and watery. Otherwise the food and portion size was very good. I was a little surprised by the price—although I do acknowledge things in general are expensive “nowadays”. 2 adult meals, 2 kid meals and 5 sodas were $59, it was $70 after tip.
