The food was good; not the best palak paneer I’ve had but definitely spicy. The waiter was kind, and the environment seemed clean. The butter chicken was good and flavorful. Overall I would highly recommend it.

It’s a very good South Indian restaurant in Plainsboro plaza, NJ. It’s kind of stuck in a corner. You’ve got to be a bit patient in finding it. Girish, my waiter made great recommendations based on my input. The Tandoori chicken was very good but takes a bit of time to get it off the grill. Aloo Parata, a Naan filled with mashed potatoes, was also very good. I will try a bunch of other items on my next trip back from Long Island, NY. By the way, the place doesn’t serve alcohol, BYOB, highly recommended. Give this place a go, and you won’t regret it.

Appetizers and Biryani were amazing. Definitely worth it Staff are extremely friendly and kind. Portions are enough to split with 2 people for 1 dish. Kebabs are very delicious and juicy. Overall, A good and satisfying dishes to try. I would highly recommend. Hope it will continue to maintain good portions and quality over the time.

This place is a real find – one of the best Indian food places in NJ. Pepper House has a great ambience, lovely decor and great service. They have a small area cordoned of at the back for private events. The food is very tasty, each dish has its unique flavour and is cooked well, portion sizes are big and meant for sharing. And if you like your food hot and spicy, you can ask them to kick up the spice level a notch. On the Saturday afternoon I was dinning in, most of the orders were for pickup and delivery.

For close to quarter of a century (we moved to Plainsboro in 1998 and lived there for eight years), the restaurant now known as Pepper House Plainsboro has been in business, under various signs and through multiple transformations.

I had samosa chat, papri chat and mysore masala dosa to go as my lunch. All of the dishes are delicious! The portion of the chats are very generous! I thought it would be a small bowl put it’s an entire plate!

Food was scrumptious and the staff service was also remarkable as they make sure they attend to us promptly. Even kids enjoyed every single dish we ordered as they kept our choice in the spice level. The highlight was the GARLIC BUTTER NAAN which was one of the most delicious one I ever had in NJ. . Food Quality and Quantity is also noteworthy. They wont make us wait for a long time . So altogether its a pleasing and lovely experience for us which makes it keep pulling us more towards this restaurant. .. Keep it up Pepper House. We cant stop ourselves from making frequent visits to try out the other new delicacies☺️

Ordered two dishes that I frequently get at other Indian restaurants. One of them, Bahara Baingan, was not edible. First, I ordered it as mild and it was very hot. Second, there were so many bay leafs that I couldn’t take one bite without having to pull one out of my mouth. Third, it was drenched in grease and just didn’t have good flavor. Plus the eggplant was just thrown in whole, stems and all.

When you find a hidden gem that you know you want to write about , one cannot explain the joy that you experience… first of all the name caught our attention- when we dropped in on a Friday evening for dinner / dine in, you notice not many were seated but the front desk was bustling with filling in take out orders. When our orders came in, we were immediately captivated by the difference you notice in presentation, taste, quantity that adds to your overall experience. The front desk and service went above and beyond to answer all our questions and paid attention to our every need. They were very busy. So if you are in and around Princeton, Plainsboro, West Windsor area give this hidden gem a try and dine in. We should encourage what this place is attempting to do to stand out.
