Lots of decent, reasonably priced food. It was moderately busy when we went for a sit down meal (Thursday evening). The experience with other customers left a lot to be desired. We were seated near someone with a chronic cough. Literally every 2 minutes they would start hacking up a lung, and not just your everyday dry cough, this was a loud, obnoxious coughs with gutteral noises accompanied by phlegm sounds. While this is something that is out of the restaurant’s control, it did detract from our experience. We did not ask to be moved because there was a screaming kid on the other side of the restaurant. We were trying to enjoy a quiet meal away from our screaming kid. I really enjoyed the house salsa, rice and beans, and tamale. The taco and chile relleno were not the greatest.

food was awful… I didn’t think anyone could mess up salsa, but this place did. The nachos were weird.. the chicken was very nasty and there was waaay to much cheese on them. One good thing though is the chips were warm when they can with our “salsa”. I don’t think this place can last another 55 years…

Ricardo the manager and owner served us wet, soggy food, wrong items and “accidentally” upcharged. We asked for a refund and he said he needed us to drive 30 mins with all the food and provide pictures for his cooks in order to possibly receive a partial refund.. After already driving there and back..and waiting for the order to be “made fresh”.bHave you ever heard of a restaurant handling this type of situation like this? Ruined our night!

Soggy, wet tacos that you cant even hold. Old, cold food. Wrong items in order. Order wasn’t ready when we got there and this is what we waited for. Gross food! They asked us to drive back and show them what could possibly be wrong with their food in order to maybe get a refund. Rude manager and “owner” named Ricardo.

Food portions was actually good this time around! Not sure if it was a one off kind of day or if they really did improve on the portions. The service is still the same Tho. They could definitely use some new servers . The atmosphere is the same nice clean

I ordered chicken in my burrito and it was awful. It was shredded, unseasoned, dark and watery. I informed the waiter and he down played my concern by saying something like ok, next time. I payed and tipped because otherwise l was having a good vibes day. After thinking about it, l don’t feel l was treated like the valued customer l am.

My husband and I recently came across Pepe’s Mexican restaurant. We’ve had dinner twice on Friday evenings. The place was clean, the servers were friendly and offered suggestions on meals and drinks. The wait time is reasonable and prices are fair for the portion sizes.

Placed an order to go, they gave us beef instead of chicken. I called to let them know we had a miscommunication. They said they would remake my order if I brought the food back. Then call again to say their kitchen and host have miscommunication. So I brought all my food back, waited 20 more minutes for my order again. All for it to be thrown together and look worse than the first time. Food still tastes uncooked, tamales dough felt like left out kids play-doh. Hopeful it was just a bad first experience, but definitely do not recommend. (Supposed to be enchiladas de mol’e first photo)

The restaurant was empty, so we had the place to ourselves. I enjoyed my food. I enjoyed speaking my limited Spanish with the owner. She was very helpful and accommodating. I will return and eat there again.
