While I did enjoy my visit I don’t know that this is a place I would visit regularly given the chance. The sandwich had a really nice crunch, which is my favorite part about a hot sandwich. The homestyle fries were also good, a tad greasy, but they’re French fries. My only real complaint is that I lost half of my toppings trying to close it. Maybe if the meat had been evenly placed it would have closed. Overall happy with my visit. The employees were nice, and the restaurant was clean.

Great service and great food. Open later than many other food chains around. Fries are made on the spot. Lemonade squeezed same day. Sandwiches are made to order. Great place.

This place is usally really good. I have to say I was disappointed with my last visit. The fryer was not working so there was no fries. We didn’t know that until we had already waited in line. Honestly if we had known that when we arrived we would have went somewhere else. But because we had already been waiting so long we stayed. They offered chips instead of fries, they only have two varieties Lay’s BBQ and Doritos nacho cheese. The handmade lemonade leaves so much to be desired. It is not sweet and does not taste like lemon . The food was decent. I would try it again only because I have had good experiences in the past. But if I was to base it on this last visit. I would not return.

Ordered a small grilled Dagwood, fries, and tea. Sandwich was perfect, fries are always awesome, cut then immediately dropped into the fryer, and they serve Luzianne tea, one of my favorites. Their cookies are huge. You won’t be disappointed. Fast service, very nice staff. Toppings are fresh, no junk. Great place.

Great food. Friendly service. Atmosphere is a bit dated looking though.

Lunch for 2 cost $50 which was pretty pricey. I felt we could have sat at a restaurant and spent the same amount. The worker even said it is high. The food is delicious though. It is more of a treat if we go now

I’ve frequented Penn Station south several times in past. It was always clean, always good friendly employees and always hot good food. Today, I found none of that. There was only one customer in the whole restaurant waiting on fiod. I stood there for 10 mins while the other two employees talked to each other. I finally asked if I could place an order. The manager seemed annoyed I was even there and seemed even more aggrevated we asked for her to wait on us. The other thing I noticed is the place was dirty. The floor was sticky. My shoes kept sticking to the floor. When I sat down the back of the chair had ketchup running down it. It went all over my hands and I had to go wash them. $30 for two sandwiches and fries. Everything was made hot. But neither my daughter nor I even finished our food when we got home. She said the meat tasted off. I had ordered my absolute favorite. It was gross. She was right, it tasted off. Like the meat was going bad and they used it anyhow. Here’s to hoping we don’t get sick. I won’t be returning, there’s so many better places to spend $30
