Pecan Grove Store was built in 1957 by Lawrence Segner across Marschall Creek from the 1800’s Segner homestead.
The first building Mr. Segner built was a Sinclair service station, then he added on a store then a garage/shop
He built a dance floor and stage in the Biergarten where he had Saturday night dances.
Matt Martin is now the owner. Born in Texas, he grew up in the Texas Hill Country, was a exchange student in Fredericksburg’s sister city Montabaur, Germany and a Fredericksburg High graduate. He attended Texas State University after which he returned to the store and is famous for his Dino Burgers. Closed on Mondays, kitchen open Thur, Fri & Sat. Live music, check our calendar for events. The bartender bite may be the best burger I’ve ever had. 1/2 lb burgers with a monster slice of cheese and cherry pepper spread and spicy sauce… the flavor profile is incredible and it does have some heat to it. You’ll need lots of napkins, but you won’t be disappointed. It’s worth going out of your way for.

The Best lemon pepper wings I have ever eaten. Period. Jamaican Jerk wings were outstanding with all others well above the Big Name chains. As I understand wings and only wings and a couple of sandwiches on Wednesday with a slightly expanded menu through Saturday. A local icon.

Learned about this place when we asked a local where we should grab dinner, and we’re definitely glad we took the recommendation! The restaurant is in an old Sinclair gas station, and the vibe is so fun. They have a pool table in the car bay and few dart boards inside. The food is classic American fare with a solid burger and DELICIOUS seasoned fries. Can’t go wrong. Oh, and for the gluten intolerant folks, they also offer gluten free buns. And impossible burgers. Really something for everyone!

A cute burger and fries place. The burger was heavily peppered but good. A little dry. The service was fast and friendly. The tables outside need some help. Not too pleasant to sit on and the 4 piece traveling band that played needed more amplification.

The BEST burger in Fredericksburg and the surrounding area!!! Hands down the BEST!! We absolutely LOVE this place!! If you are in the area this is a must stop! You won’t be here just once…trust me! Not only is the food AMAZING, the owners and staff are as well! Enjoy great food with your beer or wine with a local laid back vibe. Great live music outdoors under the canopy of huge trees. Beautiful scenery. Hamburgers are the absolute best around. Big call out to the band Trainwreck Shipping Company who were playing. I will check them out again.
