This is a seafood market and restaurant. There is something for everyone in my opinion. The charbroiled oysters were awesome. I got fried meat pies that were a little bit over cooked for my liking but that’s OK. The gravy was awesome and the filling was spot on.

Small little restaurant but provided a feast of delicious seafood. We ordered a fried seafood platter, boiled shrimp and grilled oysters. Everything was excellent. Boiled shrimp were a little bit soft for our taste. This usually means they were in the boil to long. Overall the food is worth stopping for. Staff was friendly and prompt.

I was craving a soft shell crab, googled and this place came up! Staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and clean establishment. I ordered the large plate which had 2 soft shell crabs and 2 sides, wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw but everyone’s taste is different. Soft shells were a nice size but a tad bit to much breading and crunchy for me, but great flavor ! I’ll definitely go back and see if they can Saute’ them. Great find in Slidell ! I noticed on my receipt which I never look at and saw a non cash add fee which I find a bit much. In the world of direct deposit why should the consumer have to pay and added fee, businesses need to work out their fees from cc companies.

Absolutely love this restaurant/fresh seafood market would recommend to anyone. You won’t be disappointed. Staff was short handed and still dealt with customers compassionately. They Always have a deal on fresh seafood you really can’t compare this place to any other.

Stopped in on Mother’s Day to buy a few pounds of crawfish and a dozen boiled crabs to eat at home. We were at another close by seafood market but they didn’t have any crabs after waiting in line for over 30 mins. I’m so glad we went to Pearls because now I’ve found a new spot for good boiled crabs “they were delicious” and we had friendly service.

First time at this establishment, purchased the Lunch Shrimp, Hush Puppies, and a Fountain Drink. Spent about $20, could have been about $15 but wanted to get them hush puppies. There’s a little market area to purchase fresh seafood and next to that there’s an ordering food window. The young lady greeted me upon entering and was very courteous in taking my order. Contrary to some of the previous reviews, I’m glad the young folk are working during the summer and not out causing trouble. It’s also a responsible choice given that it’s not cheap buying items to be somewhat trendy. We did it when we were young but it’s very expensive now-a-days especially with all the technology out there. They had your typical soda selection and sweet, unsweetened tea plus watermelon lemonade. Made an unsweetened Arnold Palmer with the watermelon lemonade and I’d have to say I was not disappointed. The food came out shortly after taking my seat. It was hot and cooked just right. The shrimp was a decent size and the breading was delicious not like others I’ve had. The hush puppies were NOT overcooked or hard. They were crisp exterior and a soft moist flavorful inside. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. Not sure if they’re not preparing the mop water correctly but it seemed to have sticky sounding floors and could use a sweeping. I would return to have lunch or try their dinner selection. I did return because I thought i was overcharged but I wasn’t. Didn’t receive an itemized receipt so I wasn’t sure. When I return to bring it up to the cashier, a different young lady was there, equally as courteous and checked for accuracy and reprinted the receipt. I forget how lunches have increased in price and sometimes you pay for the drink. Which in this case, it’s not included with the lunch plate. Which is fine, they have to make a living too and pay their workers. Overall I am satisfied.

This was my first visit. I like the feel of this restaurant. The staff are friendly. I ordered a 1/2 shrimp poboy and fries. It was “on point.” I’ve never had fries like those before. They’re sort of huge curly q’s, crispy and tender. The sandwich was delish with large shrimp. Glad I stopped by.

Will never come back here. The food was dry and unimpressive. The boil, was in fact not a boil. My husband asked for a refund and they said “we don’t do refunds.” That was no where advertised. Worst “boil” in Louisiana. Indianas boil makes this look like chum. No seasoning, no butter, no fatty heart attack that I was looking for. Dry STEAMED mess. Not a boil.

I preordered 2 dozen crabs and 6 lbs of shrimp before hand over the phone. Lady on the phone was sweet and said that it was okay so I placed my order. I get up there the older white lady, looked about late 50s early 60s at the register gave me a kinda unpleasant sour look as soon as I walked in. Should have listened to my first mind. Never smiled and was kind of rushy with ringing me up. I told her my name and she made a face like “really, that’s your name” asked me 4 times what my name was mind you my name is pretty basic and short tbh and not hard to understand. I’m not a foreigner and born and raised in New Orleans and no Cajun accent either. She caught my confused look and hurried and rung me up in a annoyed rushy way…So from the beginning the attitude and vibe in there was giving “not welcomed but I’ll still take your money”. Didn’t care just wanted my seafood so I could enjoy a swimming day with my kids…As we pour our seafood on our plates in the back yard FLIES!…Not one or two but SIX dead flies. We’re in our bag. Truly DISGUSTING. Crabs were big but empty and shrimps over boiled. If you don’t want flies in your food don’t eat here!!!! Place was empty now I see why…
